noobiest question: cut-in chat

I can't figure out how to chat so that the text bubble is jagged, (and makes that emphatic sound).

I assume this is the things that would cause your characters face to appear in a mini window on the side, if you did it while on a mission, but I can't seem to do it.

[Weakness]

Hold shift when you hit enter for just text.

In order to do a cut in chat you have to use the comand of @s#0 (replace the # with 0-9 for the idfferent faces). And then @c#0 for the thought bubbles.

Just type that in and then whatever you want to say.

Or if you're on 360 (as indicated by your title) holding the L-Trigger while hitting OK/Enter works as well.

Well since you don't have a keyboard I assume this is for shortcut use. If so, to further elaborate on what Weakness said, there are a few ways to apply various chat effects:

And here I thought it was as easy as holding tab while hitting enter to do cut in chat. And holding ctrl while hitting enter for thought bubbles! ;P Your way is much more complicated and fun. <_<
