I finally have enough money for an A rank weapon, but I don't know which one to choose. Can you guys give me a brief description about the new weapons? Like I don't know if 1 claw or twin claws are better and what Axe can really do. Just a brief summary of the strengths and weaknesses will be nice, thanks http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/anime1.gif. Also, if the new weapons aren't as good as the old ones, Knuckles Spears and Swords, tell me http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/anime1.gif

You're a hunter, sssssssssss, that's going to cost you man. What is your style, that should be the concern in making the choice for the weapon. Cuase for me, I buy what I like, I don't buy what is best, or what is in the fad at any time. My inventory is on my sig. Anyway, you should buy what you think you should buy. That's what I can say.

Claws- High ATP and a kick arse PA.
Twin Claws- Good damage per hit for twins, but the PA is a tad lacking.
Axe- I DONT like this one. Awsome damage, good knockdown potential, horrible speed, bad accuaracy, and a lame PA. That said, I never got the second part of the combo >.>

My thoughts on some of the weapons you asked about.

buy boards, whatever you get. I haven't failed yet, and they yield 3/3 capacity and elemental possiblities, and cost 60k rather than 90k.

And whats the chance of success if you don't have a maxed, or high level PM? Plus mat costs will run you upwards of 30k im guessing, bringing you back to the shop cost. Honestly just go browsing in player shops and look for something well priced that you want would be what I would do, however if you have a high level PM, and are willing to take the chances of failure and mat costs/time to farm them, go ahead with the board.... I just decided it wasnt worth it myself >.>

real quick, isn't using one handed weapons like 1 claw at a disadvantage or something. I thought they were. If not, why wouldnt people use 1 claw instead of twin claws?

First, with a one-handed weapon, you get to pair it with a gun. Secondly, the attack animations are different, single claw is quite fast. Finally, the PAs are different.

axe isn't that bad, it really helps in a party setting keeping things knocked down/stunned so that they won't hit teammates, it may be slow but if you do a single swing and then PA it a lot faster.

I'm a fortegunner, so I haven't tried out claws or axes, but i did see someone use a double saber and how well it seemed to handle surprised the hell out of me.

the mats are pretty easy to find, maybe not the ebon, but it all is worth it in the long run for three possible a ranks.
