On PSUpedia (http://psupedia.info/?title=Rare_enemy_hunting) there are two sets of first spawns for the start of map variation A in the Valley of Carnage:
Vanda x3
+
Jishagara x1
[non rare]
Vanda x3
+
Jishagara x2
[rare]

Just now, I found out that the second Jishagara spawns a little in to the initial fight, so those looking for all 5 enemies at the start will keep missing out.

It's the same with Block 2, the:
Vanda(**)x3
+
Vanda(**)x2*2
for me was more like:
Vanda(**)x3
+
Vanda(**)x2
+
Vanda(**)x1

Down the ramp after all the fighting before hand, I found 3 Jaggo a little into the fight.

So it seems that parts of a spawn can be delayed from the PSUpedia guide.

Also, what I took note of, in Block 1, in the 'room' where you find the warp, you should only verse the Jishagara, nothing else in that one room.

When I find that map+enemy set again, I can try to make a sequential guide to it if anyone is interested in that?

I would Definately! be interested.... I somehow got it to work for me Once! on C rank but after repeating the method ohh...300+ times now....(ARG!) I have made up my mind I must have done something "wrong" the time I actually saw the Jao and now that I was doing things "right" according to psupedia I actually am not seeing the Jao anymore....Hmmm....

Well at least I can confirm for SURE that method C-X for Unsafe Passage is a a sure thing!

Thanx in advance Mayumi http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif

Gah - finally a little more insight into those stupid Jaggos. If we can finally confirm how the spawn is SUPPOSED to work, then I can hunt my giga/bullet PP save unit! Thanks http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif

no no no! why not just run the maps!? why must you telepipe? D:

I'll get working on that for you.

Realmz, I don't use the new 'telepipe' method, but I would like to know the trick behind it for the later areas/ranks for when I'm looking for their rares.

At the moment I'm just playing through the area constantly while checking for if I 'should' find a rare spawn. I'm in it for the money right now.

If I don't find that spawn set again soon, I may 'telepipe' though ^_^'

I would have to agree, just run the maps and the EXP isn't bad either. they will show up.however the advice is helpful for those that want to use it.

........after doing over 250 missions on lets say....C Rank Unsafe Passage JUST to get the right one where I finally after 45 levels of insanity, saw 2 Rappy Noel (Thank You PSU!!!) ....I would have to Dis-Agree!!!! Whole Freaking Heartedly! At the idea of doing missions all the way through just for the chance to see a Rare Spawn.....

You either play the maps to play the maps........or you Hunt down some Elusive Creatures.......There is no both ways......

But did you only play the missions where the first block started as C-X or whatever rank you tried...ie: B-X or A-X...

cuz if you leave it to chance of course you'll probably not see a rare...I had to take matters into my own hands before I saw those Rappys

no my priority was to just lvl my spells not find rare mobs. I was pointing out that in over 250 normal runs I didnt find any to counter act the people that say "just play the missions" because if your luck is like mine just playing the missions wont find you the spawns.

I know how you feel ViciousXUSMC....

There is a new set of rare spawns for Relics......I'm gonna give C-X a try till I see the Rappys, I'll post screens for everyone to see when I get it done http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_smile.gif

I did 1 run wensday thru unsafe passage c with no rappy's then continued to fight for food on the same run and found 4 noel rappy's in "fight for food".so disagree all you want if i were to quit at LL and not continue on i would have missed them.but there's not even a map for fight for food so... by the way i don't argue with those maps it's just the amount of times you have to spawn just to get the proper route. so far in four weeks i've seen 1 set of regular rappy now as of today 6 noel rappys.those maps are helpful to some.but luck is just as good, and these areas are real short .anyway do what suits you. and yes i've tried those c-3xb-3's you still have to be lucky enough to get the right configuration.whats even funnier is i fed my PM and then did 1 run after that about 7;30 and found 4 Noel's.in FFF.yes they were lvl 5 noel's

So far I have not had any luck in getting that set up again, so by this evening if I'm free, I will probably start the 'telepipe' process to find them again.

When I do I'll post again, but edit my original post for new comers to find info right away.

Edit: If I say something that is hard to understand, just let me know and I shall try to correct it. I'm noted sometimes for having an old fashioned writing style.

Edit: I'm now making notes of what spawns in which room for a more comprehensive guide. It's slowing me sown somewhat, but it should provide something for analysts to look through.

It will look like this (From a failed, but accurate run):

Northeast route

Room 1
Jishagara x2
Zoona x1

Room 2 (Up ramp to right)
Spawn 1
Jishagara x2
Zoona x1

Spawn 2
Zoona x2

Room 3 (Over Bridge)
Jishagara x2

Room 4 (First room, down ramp)
Jishagara x3

Room 5
Jishagara x2
Zoona x3

Room 6 (Corridor)
Kog Nadd x1

Room 7 (after corridor)
Spawn 1
Jishagara x4

Spawn 2
Zoona x3

Room 8 (After Bridge)
Spawn 1
Jishagara x2

Spawn 2
Jishagara x2 (1 after each kill from Spawn 1)

Room 9 (Southern path)
Spawn 1
Zoona x2

Spawn 2
Zoona x2 (1 after each kill)

Room 10 (Past the locked gate)
Kog Nadd x2

Block 2

Room 1
Spawn 1
Vanda SS x3

Spawn 2 (After 1 or 2 Kills from Spawn 1)
Vanda SS x2

Spawn 3 (After 1 kill from Spawn 2)
Vanda SS x2

Spawn 4
Kog Nadd

Spawn 5
Kog Nadd

Spawn 6
Vanda SS x5

Spawn 7
Vanda SS x5 (1 per kill of Spawn 6)

Spawn 8
Kog Nadd

Spawn 9
Kog Nadd

Spawn 10
Vanda SS x5

Spawn 11
Vanda SS x5 (1 per kill of Spawn 10)

Room 2
Spawn 1
Kog Nadd x2

Spawn 2
Vanda x4

Spawn 3
Vanda x1

Spawn 4
Lapucha x5

Spawn 5
Lapucha x8 (1 spawn for 1 kill continuously)

Spawn 6
Vanda SS x 4

Spawn 7
Vanda SS x4
Vanda KSS x1

SS: Sword & Shield
KSS: King, Sword & Shield

The '1 per kill' or 'continuously' is as said, when you kill one from a spawn, another from the next spawn will appear until there are no more left.
It could be debated whether the ones that appear after each kill are really of the next spawn or the same one, but for simplicity, I put it as the next spawn.

Any comments or suggestions on the layout or detail shown, or even clarity now I think about it, please let me know.
