Is Double Cannon a dupe?

I was playing earlier this morning and I saw a HUcast with a strange looking DBL Saber. Looked like ends of a fork that spinned around and were purple.

The other HUcast told him that it was a dupe and was given out somehow.

I looked at the rare weapons lited on this site and its not even there. .........

Theres no guess, it was a double cannon. Read barubarys topic about Melissa, someone is duping them and giving them out

So dupers have started to find a way to ruin PSO again? Sigh... I thought it required the use of a GS or cheating device... are there any of these available for GCN (I thought there weren't). Looks like I may have to start playing pure password games soon, like in the DC version

I gaurentee everysingle Double Cannon you find is 20% Native and duped. That is at least for a while...

Big deal if this one weapon is duped...it's not like there will be mass duping of every item. This person must've had a lot of time on their hands, as well as the balls enough to risk his character several dozen time. This duping will not become mainstream...like someone said, only a few people know how to do this, and they probably won't waste their time with something as trivial as duped weapons.

As for taking the weapon, I sure would, if it were offered to me. Sure, it may be duped, but, c'mon, what's wrong with engaging in a guilty pleasure once in a while? It's not like you duped it personally...

i just wouldnt want to help duping in any even trivial way possible
oh and there is a GCN cheat device the Freeloader

Hmm... then the Double Cannon I saw a couple of nights ago WAS a dupe. How disappointing. The person I saw using it is actually a relatively known member of PSOW too. http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_frown.gif I even PMed him asking where he found the Lavis Blades and Syncestras to make the Cannons. I guess I shouldn't expect a response anytime soon...

correct me if im wrong, but, isnt sega releasing a new PSO version that will run on a different server? and if youve ever had a duped weapon in your hands your character will not be transfered correctly. so those people who are creating and accepting the duped weapons are only going to run them selves into a brick wall as the PSO servers close and the new ones are created. and to that, i say

The Freeloader isnt a cheat device as far as I know... it lets you play imports on your GCN... PLUS it isn't even out yet... http://www.ebgames.com/ebx/categories/products/product.asp?pf_id=227640

Didn't the GCN GS come out back in late October? The Action Replay comes out in a couple of weeks though...

i wouldnt even bother with dupes, no matter if it is a double cannon. they are not as hard to get in the gcn version as they were in the dc version. all you need is a lavis cannon and some joint parts. you make it into lavis blades, the use it with more joint parts to turn it into a double cannon, but it wont have and %s. i think that pofuilly slime (the red one) drops lavis cannons on vhard or ult, not sure which one tho

Perhaps not all of them are dupes. Perhaps some people actually find them. Of course, once dupes start appearing, anyone who has one, legit or not (though I won't claim whoever had this was legit, probably not?) is immediately branded a cheater by the PSO society. Sad.

Freeloader isn't a cheat device, it's a boot disk. Action Replay is probably the one you're thinking about. o_O
