Question about C-S rank missions

Are the quality of the drops directly related to the type of misison you're going - C missions drop C weapons, A missions drop A weapons, S missions drop S weapons-n-stuff????

sure... but is the Letter directly related to the letter rating of the drop ie C misisons = C drops and S missions = S weapons and drops???

Weapon and equipment board star ratings from monsters are based on the monsters level. Not the rank of the mission. The mission just influences what comes out of the boxes. Or atleast that's my take on it from personal experience.
