It has been said before in other posts but I'm gonna make a fresh one and re state the following....

....ahem....

....Play Unsafe Passage S and Fight For Food S...

If you can...I mean, I'm level 46 and using Hyruga Wright and Laia (lol, not sure if that's correct)..

But seriously, I must have died like 50 times each run but DANG! You should have seen the rares I got...I wont go through them all but lets just say around 10exp per Mission, Around 13K at my highest http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif mission...and over 10 Rares my last run on Fight For Food...It was to the point where I just grabbed without looking at em cuz it was becomming so frequent http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif And that's not to mention the 6 Star weaps to sell or feed my pm, plus boards like Del Jagnus, etc....It's worth it people.....Solo your butt off and if you truely want to get Mission points/Meseta for S Ranking it...go to Holy Ground A or B using those 2 as your body guards/distractions....and try to heal them a lot, I guess I should have mentioned that....also I should mention that I used Foie, level 30 the whole way through.....I laughed my Freaking A$$ off when I caught SEED Vance on fire (3 of them) all on fire like 2 or 3 times and each damage hit was like 1500+...No kidding!!!! http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_lol.gif http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_lol.gif

Oh...did I mention I got a Junaline too http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif....10 Star item...seriously, it's worth the pain of dying a ton from Megid Ballz

P.S. In case you don't know this...if those others die just leave em...after 1 or 2 minutes they revive themself in full! Just in case you didn't know http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_wink.gif

I've heard soloing S ranks can be profitable, Ill have to try it. About how long did each run take you?

DarkSeph
Dec 23, 2006, 10:19 PM
...time wise?....hmmm....I'd say 45-1hr for a run on Unsafe and 1hr to 1:30 on Fight For Food....But as long as that is consider all that I said above....you could solo A rank till allllllllll day long and never see a Junaline...right?.... It all depends on how many times you die by Megid too http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_razz.gif And Seed Vance is another pain in the rear! If you can bring your PM too...mine is becoming Strike Pure at the moment so I couldn't bring her otherwise it would have been wayyyy easier....she always DID hit a lot more than those other 2 and probably more damage as well cuz she would do her highest PA attacks more often.....

hmmm.. Well i am a fortecher, i think ill go do the Linear Line missions and the Neudaiz one solo. But do you recommend soloing Mizuraki Defense? Really i wanna go there in hopes of finding a cometara...

Ryoki

Completly agreed. I am currently soloing for a jitseen. Crea Double board is also something I want, but everyone does, and I really don't expect to get it. But it would be nice. I really need another blade too.

DarkSeph
Dec 23, 2006, 10:33 PM
both goals are quite possible Beamther0x / Ryoki....quite possible! I mean, Crea Double is a 10 Star board no? Junaline is 10 Star...I got that and only after 2 runs, or 2 missions, 1 on Unsafe and then got the Junaline on Fight for Food....And as for Mizuraki Defense...it's harder in some ways even though your not getting slammed by Megid Ballz...but I'd say well worth it, just try to bring your PM and those other 2 computer chars....You'll do fine http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_smile.gif...Might not even die (slight chance http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_wink.gif )

I should try that too I guess...I am also a Fortetecher...I could use Cometaras....I really want to buy Lidras or find/make them.....those are the real power of a Wand....

well good luck to all of us then! But after 2 or 3 runs on LL S you will be drooling! and you will know what I speak of http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif

If it's as good as you say then I'll be doing this. But as A wartecher meleeing gets me killed a lot and going back to the city can get annoying. But hey it may be worth it.

I have found that Melee actually works better than you'd think...as far as fighting those darn Deljaban..(did I get that right? oh well http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_smile.gif )

I mean, use PA's that will hit a bunch at once and you'll do fine! Just get used to dying is all...

If you are a figunner, fortegunner, or a guntecher (i think?) Twin Handguns are a godsend here, also crossbows. Twin Sabers are amazing, and as much as i hate to say it, twin daggers (my fav. ) Suck ass here, since the knockback only occurs on the 3 attack. If you have a bow with ground element at a high level, this will be a piece of freakin cake. No megid, no barta, no worries.

If your accuracy is good, Double Sabers are good here too.

I don't feel npc's help me on S rank missions, since I cannot use resta. Also, I have to worry about them getting megided. I just dodge megid, but if you are in mid-pa, you might get hit.

Possibly the most important thing is to try to inflict either burning or silence on em. Burning is good for whittling em down.

OMFG, here is some proof of its worth! I just got three kerselines in a row as enemy drops.

Yes Ryoki, that is exactly what I was talking about http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif You get so many rares you start to see em as less than rare! LOL http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_lol.gif

Anyways....thank you Ryoki!!! I was using lightning for awhile and it wasn't stopping their megid attacks, I was really bumbed so I went back to burning which, is also quite good but if I ever wanted to solo, truely solo it..to "TRY" for an S rank...then I would need to stop that damn ball of death! So since my Bow has a high level Ground I'm gonna try that, and possibly buy an 8 star bow just to make it worth my time....that will be awesome to shut up those buggers http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif hehe.....Or my Diga would be nice to use too since it's level 30...yes, level 30...I just usually don't even try for the S Rank using any spell cuz they can cast as quick or quicker than I can... I still think the method of not worrying about dying and using Fire to damage them, seeing as I light them on fire 70% of the hits I would say.....

I'll let you know if I ever pull an S Rank off http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif...but I can guarentee it wont be on Fight for Food...Unsafe passage would be the only possibility.......that Damn Seed Vance can do 400+ per hit with it's Fireballz, not so bad to dodge the first 1 but when there are 2 at once...HAH!

Merculine drops there also. It's 11*

However Megid from Deljabians counts as a physical attack meaning you need to freeze or shock them to stop them from using it. Most annoying thing to me are the little ninja belpannons that seem to like running away from me...

I wouldn't do these missions for S rank solo. Really if you want PA fragments just do the first Parum mission repeatedly. Solo S rank no time flat, hellow PA fragment farming.

What always puzzled me is it seems like NPC defense = your DEF + some defined number or some kind of multiplier. My NPC's always seem to take less damage per hit than I do. Last major update when expert classes and new equipment were added I switched from a Megaline to a Teroline to increase my defense to what I felt would be about where my NPC's defense was at. Suddenly Lou was taking even less damage than she was before I upgraded my armor.

Use a Tech or bullet with the lvl4 burn status effect and burn and run. I can solo FFF Srank in 30-35 mins thanks to the 1350 burn dmg per tick to Seed Vitances.

S-ranks sound great and all, but that's all I ever hear about when people talk about good levelling spots/strategies. What about methods for those of us who are trying to reach the point where they can DO S-rank missions? I've been training my lv. 33 Hunter in the Agata Relics B-rank mission for a while, but sometimes finding a decent party that lasts for more than one run can be difficult. Is this a good place, should I be looking elsewhere, or would NPCs actually be half-useful if I wanted to solo a B-rank run?

Dec 24, 2006, 01:38 AM
Maybe you could try soloing Mad Creatures C. That's what I used to do until I got the hang of soloing LLS/FFFS. Nowdays if I'm not in a party the colony's 4th floor missions are all I do. For the most part, I spilt the large groups into smaller ones and then burn/shock em. If you can set the bosses on fire, it makes fighting them a snap. I haven't gotten too much cool stuff from there lately, but you can easily bump your meseta supplies up a good million or so if you get some of the Deljaban drops from there.

Solo Valley of Carnage C, that's the best, I even do that as a level 54 character sometimes.

Just 30 frags. At least I'm pretty sure. The second time trial in Chapter One is impossible to get S Rank on (Getting past the traps). I tried for an hour trying to master that level.

It came to the point where Laia and I were not hit by a single trap with a clear time of 3:10. I got 300/300 points for time but there's no other point modifier. Thus you end up with 300/1000 C Rank everytime.

But yeah, 30 frags is pretty nice for easy work.

Ok, I just did a LL S run solo. Level 54, Fortecher lvl 3. I died 31 times, took me 1 hour 10 minutes (just the first mission). 2 red boxes (7 & 9 * mats) and 2000 mst (after a few recharges). Oh an one Deljaban board (or something like that).

Maybe drops get better with a bit more luck, but as of now I'm not sure if its the way to go for me. But I will give it another try later...

You can earn more money doing multiple runs at your level than soloing an S run if your looking for fast experience, mission points and money. If your looking for items then S might be your choice.
