I guess I'll try to explain my situation then. I've begun trying to learn Japanese and recently set up the Japanese IME on my computer so I could type Japanese characters on my laptop. It works for all my programs except FireFox (my web browser.) (I don't use Internet Explorer because it takes half an hour to load on my laptop, I'm hoping to have a new laptop soon.)
I thought if you typed any Hiragana on Kanji while online you might be able to help.

Do you ever type any Japanese on web browsers? In Hiragana and Kanji I mean.

O genki desu ka can also mean - literally - are you well.

If my understanding of what I said was correct, (Ohayo. O genki desu ka -> Hello. How are you?), then "For the most part." doesn't exactly answer it unless you stated how you were feeling first or my translation is wrong.
