The latent is only 10%, IIRC, so it's not really that worth it.

Actually not a generalist path - I was thinking still a Wind Dual Mastery, since honestly nothing is going to beat Sazan for general purpose use with its range, AoE, suction, damage and now cheap PP cost - but EWH would mostly be for DPS dumping with Rabarta, Ragrants and Ramegid for bosses in conjunction with their wand.

    Here's what I was thinking:

Although yeah, might not be for you since it still centers around Techs for DPS and wand as a secondary role, and you seem to be a more smacking player.

Loool people who use VH TAs to argue that TE is good.

Anyway, I'm thinking of sacrificing 4 points in Wand Reactor for EWH. It gets its biggest boost on the first point anyway.

Just got a -.54 charge reduction Ragrants, and seriously - this update single-handedly made a Light Spec TE viable. Gigrants also gets up to a -.4 charge reduction too, and Grants gets up to a -10 PP reduction.

Dark is looking pretty good what with Ramegid and Megid as it is now, too.

These are the recipes I'm playing around with and liking so far:
Zan Charge Reduction Time -0.30 - SPAM SPAM SPAM
Sazan -10 PP Reduction - Oh my god, I can actually sustain tech fire as a TE/FI now
Ramegid - Charge Reduction -0.50 - it also comes with an insane 15% status afflict up; it's not like the PP cost really matters since you're close-quarters as a wand-capable TE anyway
Razan - Power Up - there isn't much downside to getting this since you're never really gonna charge it anyway
Grants - PP Reduction - I can ALSO sustain Tech Fire with Grants as a TE/FI now

You can check them on the visiphone while searching for recipes. I'm trying to decide if I want more power and speed for Zan, or less charging time. If you have a chance to play around with it, can you see how fast the speed is increased for Zan? Also, I'm not quite sure what the interval time reduction on Razan is about either...

    WAND LOVERS IS THE BEST.

Oh, that reminds me. What technic recipes are you looking at for your Techer now? I haven't had a chance to actually look at them, but the pulse speed increases for Shifta/Deband sound nice especially for TE/FI where you can keep Shifta/Deband as a constant fixture thanks to Assist Extend + Adrenaline. And it feels like TE is really going to benefit from the charge reduction skills. I also heard that Sazan gets -10 PP, which is going to be helpful to TE/FI since there's pretty much no issue with PP sustainability with Wind if so.

I told you Iron Will was a good idea lol. Did you also get one point in Never Give Up? Because that really helps too.

Also FI stances are not bad, you mostly just reposition yourself instead of stance dancing because it's easier.

I'm glad they gave Wand Lovers a quick activation animation. It seems like it's really worth it for our niches now. Is it just me, or do they seem to test drive a lot of stuff on TE? Bet the other classes will start getting quick activation soon now too.

    What's Gifoie-Barta-Gizonde-Zan-Gigrants-Megid-any-tech-but-Sazan?

Anyway, I'm just thinking the utility of PP Convert over Restraint is for Exit Bursts or boss battles where you need techs over whacking. And once you get PP Convert at level 10, it's pretty much so OP for filling your PP gauge that all you have to do is stand around for like, three seconds, and you're back into the casting game. So, that makes things tougher.
  12. View Conversation
Hm, since I'm ditching EWH for Wand Lovers if it's decent enough, I'm trying to decide if I want to keep PP Restraint as my PP management tool, or go for PP Convert. Thoughts?

Oh although if you're Te/Fi uncharged Sazan is strong enough for you to aim at Banther's legs accurately so you can break them while he does that charge barrage and then render him slow enough for follow up smacks. Yes, even with no Elysion.

    GET HUNTING THAT DISC.

Meh, I'm fine with using Techs as PAs. I'd hate for TE to be the next overhyped melee class - it's a hybrid for a reason. And I actually prefer dodging Fang Banther's chain with Mirage than Step. I find a lot of the time Banther's hitbox tends to drag and then you get hit the moment you come out of your invincibility. If we had guard, that'd be a different picture though.

Step without Guard going to be a screaming pain. Hopefully we'll get some step advance invincibility points from the FI or HU skill tree, but even then it kind of requires ridiculously precise timing and doesn't even have enough frames for a lot od the attacks we take for granted.

I mean, offensively, it's great, but defensively, it sucks balls.

Meh, they're about the same on bosses unless you have a giant room and a giant boss to boomerang Zans off of. Actually, I like to take points out of the JA Stuff on my HU subtree and toss it into Iron Will + 1~2 Point in Never Give Up since TE likes to die so much - but also since that second or two of invincibility synergizes so well with getting a Resta in. So HU might be better for bosses in that you get to slip up a bit more. You also get War Cry which is like yay for zondeeling.

Though TE/FI feels a lot more fluent for mobbing than TE/HU especially if you have a trash FO spamming Zonde everywhere. Sazan 16 is a godsend and all those multipliers make me drool.

I'm going to find it hilarious in a week when everyone switches to TE/HU or TE/FI because of Wand Lovers, play it for all of two minutes, and then go back to their BR/HUs and GU/HUs.
