    Coco: I-IT'S NOT CUTE ;_; *pouts* A-and your idea of "skinship" sounds a bit...extreme...

    See, they come out with actual fun missions like AQs, but then they put them behind incredibly stupid shit like capsule requirements, which is fucking dumb as hell. "Want to actually do something fun and challenging? Have fun being unable to do it with friends because not everyone has capsules!" Or like the original Darker's Den with the stupid random requirement. It just seems like every time they get an actual good idea, it's hidden behind something incredibly dumb.

    Yeah, fujifiji was this one, and I also made a nice combination of that one and the ninja-like one that I thought turned out well. The frilly top is too cute <3 And I'm not exactly a fan of Luna Prophecy, but I'm always amazed at how much people get upset over POLYGONS. Like, who seriously gives that much of a fuck about what my polygon model wears or looks like or anything? It's like that big shitstorm over bikinis or "loli face", how is this worth getting pissed over? Makes me wonder what their life is like offline if clothing in a video game is enough to raise their blood pressure.

    Coco: Hey, i-it's not cute, it's embarrassing...! And maybe YOU want it, b-but I don't...

    I saw a video of that boss, looked pretty nasty spraying slime everywhere D: I think, if you're going to have a 12-man MPA, spawns should be like 2-3 Dagans for every player or something like that. Just send absolute swarms at everyone. Bosses need increased aggression and HP proportional to the number of players on the map. But yeah, if PAs weren't so stupidly overpowered and skills didn't completely outmatch enemy AI, it wouldn't be so bad. It's like they have PSO-boss AI, but with a million more skills at the player's disposal.

    I really liked the ninja-like outfit, it was cute :O I also liked this outfit I put together, and one of the other outfits that debuted with the AotI expansion. Fujifiji I think, the frilly one. I miss my simpler outfits I could mix and match D: And speaking of outfits, I see people are arguing about that again...this place never changes XD

    Coco: :O *blush* I'm uh...glad! But, u-um, let's just n-not find out about "sexytime" D:

    That goo attack (Cocona would hate that, slimy things are eww to her DX) sounds like it could favor Gunners with their ability to basically stay in the air infinitely, although I'm sure other classes can do that too by now. I've never understood why they stopped handling parties like PSO did, where stuff would have somewhat lower stats and much less HP when solo but it would increase (as would the number of enemies) in a party. I feel like they TRIED to do that with MPAs, but players are way too powerful now for that to be feasible. It's true that most MMOs suffer from that, although Sega could stand to learn from MMOs that feature raid bosses (as much as I hate the concept of raiding in most MMOs).

    It's fine, but thanks. I was looking back at some old PSU/PSPo2 screens the other day and I noticed something that's always bothered me about PSO2 costumes--most of them are a bit too ridiculous. I always loved stuff like the Storia set because it was really simple but cute, nothing outrageous, and I could honestly get away with wearing something similar IRL. Not to mention you could mix and match pieces. I think I preferred that style over a lot of the PSO2 stuff.

    Coco: Of course I notice y--hey, I-I didn't say anything about "sexytime"! >_>;;

    It's good that at least the new content is somewhat more aggressive, although there's indeed a difference between "challenging" and "cheap". Although, you can always bet on people whining to Sega if it was too hard and demanding nerfs, like what happened to several bosses in PSU that I didn't think needed any modifications. PSU vanilla...didn't have a ton of content, and everyone basically only ran a handful of missions, but before advanced classes things were actually balanced and somewhat challenging. It wasn't until the AotI expansion that it became the easiest game ever, especially if you were a CAST Hunter-type.

    I reeeeeally love the purple Alph Lyla you made, that would be perfect on Cocona...as would probably a blue Matoi outfit. Blue's kinda my backup color for Cocona if I can't get purple or orange or yellow, because it does work and it's usually available in some capacity. The only thing I ever recolored was my Heartbreaker, because I just had to have dark purple on that one and it looks awesome.

    Coco: o_o;; *glomped* A-ahh...um, th-there there, I notice you...! *pets*

    It takes two days to hit SH now? Christ...I actually kinda liked the longer grind when the game started because it gave you more to do, and gave you a reason to progress through all the missions with your friends instead of picking the right COs. PSO2 doesn't have enough of an "endgame" to make cap-rushing worthwhile, especially when you can do the EQs on any difficulty, and like you said, it doesn't teach you much. Again, it's a lot like PSU, the beginning was way better than what it became, back when it wasn't super-easymode.

    I could see Cocona in a dark purple or a yellow version of Matoi's outfit, it'd definitely be cute. Oil Brink is awesome, and I really like it on Joh too (yellow forever!). I wished there was a dark purple Alph Lyla, but the blue is nice and I like how it's nice and bright. I got a blue Tiger Pierce for Coco, which looked pretty cool but I didn't end up using it all that much. It's definitely Nedra's trademark :3

    Coco: *folds arms* No buts! Y-you can't--aawww, don't cry, I sorries D:

    That's a wise quote. PSU was so much the same way, you barely needed anything to do any of the content in that game by the end, yet people still found ways to whine about the way people played the game. If half the people in that game just learned to goddamn dodge and not play as if stats determine everything like WoW or something, they wouldn't need elite gear. It's far more satisfying to beat a boss without great gear anyway, dodging around and learning their patterns and everything. That's why I hate how the only thing that increases with difficulty level is enemy stats, I think their patterns should change too such that gear isn't the only thing that'll help.

    I saw that Matoi's and the cheerleader one got released today, both of which I'd love to have if I played. I think I only had like 2mil left on Cocona so I couldn't get much if I reinstalled XD I loved her Oil Brink, the yellow is a good contrast with her hair and it's adorbs <3 I kinda like the yellow Tiger Pierce on Nedra best because it matches with her hair without everything being too much orange. Goes with the whole lightning theme too.

    Coco: U-uumm... >_>;;; Calm down... s-someone help D:

    People bitching about gear in a casual kill-stuff game has always been the funniest thing to me. You could honestly do most of the missions with 1* weapons, why do people make it such a big deal? Elitism in PSO2 is a complete waste of time and makes the game look much harder/complicated than it really is, which certainly wasn't much when I played. The beauty of PSO2 is that your actual skill means a lot more than gear, so I'm not sure why numbers are relevant as long as you're contributing and not intentionally messing up things. I used what gear looked cool and made sure I was good at using it *shrug*

    Some of the recent outfits have been okay, although I haven't found too many of them interesting. Pop Score is awesome and I do really like Matoi's, at least. Black bikini is hawt too. Heartbreaker combines a lot of stuff I like, especially the lacy frills and the long jacket motif, and Oil Brink is really tomboy-ish (which is very Cocona), and kinda playfully-sexy. Tiger Pierce has always looked great on Nedra, definitely her best look IMO.

    Coco: L-lewd...?! o_o;; Um, c-calm yourself...eek D:

    Secret of Mana is a ton of grinding, but at least it's such a fun game. My first playthrough as a kid, I had every weapon and magic maxed out for everyone XD Attack magic is super strong at level 8, but it makes the game way too easy and less fun against bosses. I liked the variety of magic better in Seiken Densetsu 3, where stat-ups were way more powerful than attack magic could ever be.

    PSO2's normal droprates are horrendous, which makes casual hunting not fun at all, but yeah, the EQs and such make it so that it's almost pointless to play unless it's an EQ. I remember PSU going that way after a while and it was pretty dumb. There's just too much that's left to randomness so all you have to do is be in the right place at the right time. I hated seeing people with super-rares and only being able to see them as lucky rather than skilled.

    Yeah, that black one is pretty sexy XD Not sure how it'd look on Cocona but it would be worth a shot. I really want to try Pop Score and Active Cami on her, and the upcoming Matoi outfit and the cheerleader one. Just never know, I didn't think Alph Lyla would look good on her either but I love it and she's super-cute in it. I still think Heartbreaker and Oil Brink will be my favorites on her though :P

    Coco: Ugh, w-we are so not "doing it", geez! And my name is NOT--u-um, what are you thinking about >_>;;

    I'm sure friends would make a boss like Emeraude a lot easier too, because once she gets going she's so brutal and her aura sucks. The only RPG I've ever really done multiplayer was Secret of Mana with a friend, where we did a full no-magic run (until the last boss) and beat the whole thing together. We had most bosses pinned down pretty well :P That's awesome how you guys met, sounds like fun :3

    Oh man, all the Hildetorr hunts for my Frozen Shooter, all the VR Spaceship runs for Twin Psychoguns, Guld/Milla hunting...those were the times man. It's such a shame that most players don't have the patience for that anymore and seem to prefer the PSO:BB rates and such. I miss actually earning stuff and finding cool unique stuff like your regular Double Saber hunt. BPD really did start to ruin things >_< Ah well, I'm always down for a good hunt.

    Nedra's super-cute in her swimsuits, and I especially like her in both the orange ones. The one-piece is nice too. Faina pulls off the black one well, and I'd put Coco in the swim shorts one I linked or the black one. I wish there were more athletic swimwear and more stuff with shorts. I love the fourth one you linked with the denim shorts, it's a nice combo.

    Coco: Well then, um, c-can't you focus on her instead? D: Don't drool all over yourself, ya dork...

    Graces would be a lot of fun with friends, especially for comboing and stunlocking. Playing as Sophie is a lot of fun because you can do so much damage and you're fast, plus you have some degree of healing responsibility for the party. I'd love to have a character like her in an action-oriented MMO or something. Deadly Force is so amazing if used right, she's so much more powerful in a player's hands versus the AI's. Did you guys meet via PSOW or elsewhere?

    GC hunts were insane, but the sense of accomplishment you got afterwards was the best. I enjoyed boosting Red weapons as much as I did just finding unique things, even if I didn't plan on using them. BB did sorta mess with that idea and brought on PSU/PSO2-syndrome where any noob has godly shit, but at least Ep4 itself was fun. Shambertin/Saint-Milion is still one of the best fights ever.

    Hmm, that black one is cute, would probably work with Cocona pretty well. I think Nedra is cute in Cocona's swimsuit, but the one-piece absolutely works too. Coco needs Pop Score and Active Cami too :O

    Coco: She's certainly tsun...b-but surely she doesn't have too many secrets D: And um...th-thanks...b-but put that tongue away...! >_>;

    Yes yes yes, Hubert's weapon is the best XD Imagine FI/GU having access to something like that in PSO2, that would be a lot of fun. He had one of the most unique fighting styles from any RPG and he was amazing to play as and to watch. Rolling Thunderbolt is indeed a really great escape tactic and it made it pretty easy to solo with him. Sophie's great in that she's incredibly fast both in movement and arte speed, her arte variety is huge, and she has her charged artes which can do tons of damage if used right. She's by far my favorite to use for Warrior's Peak.

    PSOBB was really easy for the most part, but I had fun with it. The one problem I had was how a lot of the Ep4 drops basically obsoleted anything from previous episodes, foreshadowing PSU and PSO2's weapon trends, but eh. It still had a lot of unique things, like that saber that changes ATK based on time of day and such, which PSO2 is definitely lacking.

    You promise? Cocona loves pool parties, she can join in with her orange floral one.
  15. View Conversation
    Coco: I-I'm not sure I wanna know... *lets out a sigh of relief* Phew, you're a persistent one... >_>

    Hubert's super good once you learn how to manage his artes, lots of really great moves and such. I liked to play as him and especially as Sophie. I love how modern Tales games give you the ability to play as anyone you want and they can all hold their own pretty well, even healers/mages...they didn't used to be that way and it was kind of a bummer. That's one thing I loved about the Tales of Destiny remake, I could finally play as Chelsea and use her dominant archery skills

    Yeah, PSO had the most satisfying hunts, even in Episode 4 where it honestly didn't take that long to get what you want if you put in the time. Plus there were SO many weapons and they all did something unique, unlike PSO2's where (aside from latents) there's always a superior weapon because all the variation is in power. I loved having a palette of situational weaponry in PSO and it made it fun to hunt all kinds of different things.

    Can't they just...go to a pool or something D:

    Coco: S-somehow I doubt she does... *keeps chest covered* I-I'm not being tsun, y-you need to stahp D:

    I guess that's the thing, Malik and Pascal do the same sorta things so it's silly to have them together :P Sophie was my favorite and she never left my party unless she was unavailable. I get upset if I can't use my favorites in Tales games XD

    Absolutely, a weapon has to look cool for me to want it, and I have a soft spot for PSO or classic Phantasy Star weapons. Hunting weapons in PSO2 is pretty pointless...it's all about being lucky and I don't feel any sort of accomplishment from that. I miss PSO now, even if some things were super-rare it was fun to hunt them.

    Coco can go take her own shower, thank you very much...
  17. View Conversation
    Coco: E-eehhhhh...! *backs away and covers her chest* D-do you put poor Joh through this too...?

    That's true, Pascal's great against bosses and she's got a great Accel, but I just preferred Malik more. I gave him gems to boost his P.DEF and C.DEF so he was pretty formidable, and I really like him as a character. But nothing beats "We are--PASCAL!!"

    I've never cared much for optimal stats or gear outside of a desire to have something to hunt, I just wanted to master the mechanics of my class, like you said. I find it fun to discover things about a class that most people don't figure out because they're too busy only using what they're told to use. I'm a rare-hunter too, which PSO1 did way better and really disappointed me about 2. I need shinies to quest for dammit!

    Umm...I'll leave the showers to you two, thanks D:
  18. View Conversation
    Coco: I-I'm blushing because it's e-embarrassing...! W-why are you so obsessed with my boobs ;____; *squirms and backs away*

    Pascal is funny, but I had two problems with her--one, she's a bit too much of a walking deus ex machina in that she magically knows how to handle everything and can conveniently forget whenever she choses, and two, I thought Malik could do everything she could in battle but had way more HP, so I didn't end up using her much. She cracks me up though XD

    I don't have a problem with PSO2 catering to a more casual audience, but even as a casual gamer I'd think it would get old really fast. That and it only makes it more annoying when the elitists come in and try to make it a sin to play casually. And those matter board drops are nuts o_O Although, with how dumb "hunting" things is in this game, I guess I don't have a huge problem with it. I've always liked the idea of doing quests for things, and I think it's best when the best weapons are only obtainable through a series of very difficult quests, not some dumb random chance.

    Coco ain't joining in anything unless it's racing...or food >_>

    Coco: Hey, I most certainly did n--meep!! *blushes and flails* NNOOOOOOOO ;_;

    Jade has a lot of really amazing moments, he's easily one of my favorite Tales characters and the best from that game, to me. Asbel was reeeeally dense, although I don't think anyone could be as dense as Stahn from Tales of Destiny XD I still like them both though.

    Christ, they keep bumping up the CO EXP don't they...I mean, if they're going to make Normal that pointless then COs may as well jump you up to SH right away. I just hate how they think stat boosts is "making enemies more difficult" when players' new skills and such are what's really making the power gap go out of control. Just like PSU. More HP isn't really a solution either, because if the boss isn't really dangerous then it's just going to take a long time to kill. They need something that's just terrifyingly hard...so everyone will bitch about it and go back to easymode >_<

    How about Nedra and Faina "get together" after airboard training so they can leave Cocona alone :l
  20. View Conversation
    Coco: o_o *backs away* I-I think you're mistaken in thinking there'll be a "next time"...

    Luke's definitely an annoying brat as the game begins (and this certainly gets worse) but you come to find out what created that personality and his growth process is pretty interesting. The other characters don't get a whole lot of development (although Jade doesn't need any, he's awesome) but it's still a pretty good cast. I didn't think Asbel was that bad, just really dense, but Emil was a big baby :P

    Fair enough with the reskins and such, although I doubt they've really gotten much more aggressive. Sega keeps making players obscenely powerful without boosting monsters in the same fashion. Stat boosts are never going to keep up with new classes, skills, equipment, and techniques. As fun as PSO2 has the potential to be, I can only imagine how great the game would be with some degree of challenge.

    They can both learn to race...but that's all she's promising D:
