Also I just came into realization on the one thing that I'll hate about MHWorld and it is not the games fault...............I have a large T.V. that is going to kill that U.I.

AoT has fallen into the Dragonball Effect: symptoms are hype and a lot of a action, but shit or stereotypical story.

The more I noticed how bore I am in the past week, the more I realized that something in particular was missing........I'm not playing Monster Hunter. Last Summer I had Generations and the year before was 4 Ultimate.

And then I completely forgot about the spin-off, Stories and looked up it's Western release date............wtf why in the fall and not Summer? We have World in early 2018!


Guess I only have one choice...........*charges 3DS* Steam Summer Sale.....why you no come sooner DX

Started the Spring Anime season with 8 animes, now down to 3 after dropping 5. One of them had just finished.

The King's Avatar: (12 episodes) (finished)
My Score: 9 / 10

Thoughts:
-Occasional bad CGI and repetitive use of several animation sequence
-Has probably one of the best Soundtrack of the season.
-Mature atmosphere and breaks away from the "gamer" trope that Japanese anime has become famous for (i.e. no fanservice, gravity defying tits, panty shots, Kirito/Goku like MC)
-Fantastic and intense animation, especially in the last half of the season. Especially in Episode 8 where the only description is Battle God vs The Magician (literally).
-Has probably one of the top fighting sequence and scenes in the seasons along with Boku no Hero Academia 2nd Season and Re:Creators
-Also, that final episode DX
-Season 2 in 2018.........dammit I want more now! Least more good stuffs awaits in 2018 now.
-I highly recommend this, because if not for Boku no Hero Academia 2nd Season and AoT 2 for stealing the spotlight then The King's Avatar would be anime of the season. Great anime, bad release timing.
-Final episode is a 10 out of 10 episode.
-I'm going to say it now: IT'S GOING TO BE THE ANIME that puts Chinese anime on the board.

Hmm..........then why not this instead? Might need like 20 or so people, a decent sized field/room, and a soccer ball though.

Eh can't blame you on that. I mean I still play friggin Skyrim, Battlefield 1, and Company of Heroes with the occasion LOTRO and Fire Emblem.

I'm just waiting for steam Summer sales to get the Halo Wars PC port and The Isle because I love dinosaurs.

To answer your 2nd post:

I guess I could consider my current project in development would be somewhat inspired by Monster Hunter. Not in the hunting sense, but in the sense that it's a big world filled with nasty creatures and learning about them.

This is the general gist of it so far:

"Project Story is focuses on a 10 year-old boy, 3 year-old girl, and a 35 year-old widow. Both children were abandon as a result of the 20 year civil war and the Widow had lost her family when the war broke out. With the war moving into the borders of the neighboring countries she is forced to relocate. There is no city within reasonable reach that is safe from the war and the only safe 'haven' is the ever so harsh White Mountains that splits the continent in half. Being a descendant of the mountain people, the Widow is tasked with teaching the 2 children they lay-of-the-land so they can survive. At first the Widow is reluctant to take them in, but then she realized that in the worst case scenario they could serve as bait for whatever that is to come in the journey ahead so she took them in. The Widow is going to demonstrate how to survive in the mountains and teach the kids about the various creatures and how to deal with them. These creatures ranges from various Wyvern species to various Mammoth species to the monsters that resides in the forbidden holy land.

As the story progress in 'Part 1: Sensei's Story' we began to see the dynamic relationship between the children and the Widow from a 'needs-to-survive' relationship into a 'teacher-to-student' relation. And then the characters comes across a flock of Mountain Wyverns......"


Oh and as for E3 for me:

Sony / Nintendo > Microsoft.

Both Sony and Nintendo were on point this year so really hard to say which won when it is the gamers that always wins. Sony would had nailed it if there was a demo of Beyond Good and Evil 2 along something about The Last of Us 2. Nintendo would had destroyed E3 if they had a logo for the new Pokemon game, but an announcement is just enough. Microsoft was just.........LUL Microsoft.

My thoughts on E3 Overall: (for the companies not the devs)

Microsoft:
-Xboner X
-New IPs in the name of Anthem and Code Vein.
-Outside of the Anthem, Code Vein, Life is Strange prequel, and Middle-Earth: Shadow of War everything else is forgettable.
-It feels like they where just pushing the Xboner X and 4k resolution and not enough games.
-They lacked content.
-Also, LOL Assassin's Creed. It's fallen into the Call of Duty effect.

Sony:
-Games after games after games after games after games.
-Not enough new IPs, but a fair amount of sequels were announced. However, all of those sequels are continuation of fan favorite games.
-It's basically and literally "You want games? Yeah? Well we got some and they're coming soon."
-Pushing for V.R. market at least.
-LOL R.I.P. Vita.
-I'm actually excited for a C.o.D game for the first time since World at War.
-Fantastic presentation. It's just a showcase games after games after games after games after games.

Nintendo:
-Surprisingly the only conference to tease an upcoming game in the name of Metroid 4 and unnamed Pokemon main game for Switch.
-Everything seems to be inspired by what Breath of the Wild for the Zelda franchise. In layman's term: Everything feels new, but right for the games......except for Pokken XD.
-Mario Odyssey is going to be a contender for game of the year and this saying for Nintendo after what they did with Breath of the Wild.
-Great presentation, especially comparing to last year's LOL presentation.

More News on Monster Hunter World:

-All weapons are returning.
-Smart AI.
-Monsters will fight each other whereas in past games they will only target the hunter (with the exception of a few specific monsters)
-Large monsters can intrude on your quest/hunt (a mechanic that has been missing since Portable 3rd)
-There's a new mechanic introduced to have more player-to-environment interactions with the introduction of the "slinger" (the crossbow on the hunter's arm in the trailer). Basically you can go Indiana Jones in MHWorld.
-Cross server play. Westerners can play with JP.........Oh I can smell the rage.
-Being able to change gear mid-hunt (from campsite)
-Kitties and their features will return
-Players can join a hunt mid-hunt via S.O.S. signal or pre-hunt.
-In-game voice chat..........as if my blacklist in Generations wasn't enough. Welp, time to clean out the current list on the PS4.
-Tracking, you can new see footprints of monsters.
-No loading. It's all one gigantic map.


If only I wasn't going to graduate Spring 2018.........Oh who am I kidding. To do comics or to play Monster Hunter? That is a great question at hand.

They said Switch, but nothing for 3DS. As a matter of fact, the 3dS was left in the dark this time around as there's only 1 new 3dS game which is the Metroid 2 Samus Returns remake.

They also said that it is roughly a year away so I say it's a Late 2018 / Early 2019 game. Then there's also an unnamed Fire Emblem main series game coming to the Switch as well that announced way back during one of the Nintendo Directs earlier in the year.

So I say wait on more info before grabbing switch.

-A new Pokemon main game is announced in the works for the Switch.
-Metroid Prime 4 teased.


Welp, I guess I have no choice but to get a Switch in the near future.

Don't really care about anything else except for the 3 listed games.
