Like I said the other night in game, I use Dxtory to record video. The settings on dxtory (and it's codec) allow me to limit the frame rate and reduce the resolution of any video I take to keep file sizes reasonable. That said and done, the files are still pretty large. You'll have to use a video editing software to reduce the size of the video even further. Windows Movie Maker is free and should be on most computers but has limited editing options. Any commercial editing software will do a better job.
