And software patents need to die in a fire! I have little tolerance for patents in general, but this software legal bullshit is just that. The world isn't run by people who understand things like software or IT for crap. Mostly just old and dusty guys in shirts and suits who talk too much about too little and don't have any visions whatsoever. Usually they don't even don't understand the topic they're even talking about, unless it's something simple. Like more taxes! Or less taxes. Or, you know, more taxes. <.<
How someone can think they can own an idea, as if it were property is beyond me. What's next - we get to copyright our dreams, and then sue anyone who has them and haven't payed license fee? I understand why they came up with patents in the first place - to help someone with say a new business idea establish themselves and make a profit off their idea, though a time-limited monopoly, thereby putting money in the innovator's pocket, rather than the next guy staring over their shoulder. So by helping the innovator, it would help innovative progress. And it might have made sense way back when, and if it was really just a short period like say 5 years, 10 years? But now it's damn near indefinitely, which defeats the original purpose. The world today is moving way too fast now for patents to exist at all, in my mind.
Aww... I was hoping your hand would be okay today. Is it really a bruise or is it some sort of fluid build-up? I know I had some weird buildup of fluid right at the base of my right thumb once or twice a number of years ago. I think it's some joint issue? Not sure...
Mmm... Pretty okay. Took a nice little walk this morning. Just a tad sleepy. Turned out we only had two classes today, so I skipped lunch and just packed a few things and went home for the day instead. Going to cook me something in just a bit. It was just so cold here, so I turned on some heat and lit some candles in my room. Been raining a bunch the last few hours.
Ohhhhh, there's lotsa fun places I could find to gnaw around on. What's the special on the menu tonight? x)
I'm just chillin for now. Bakin' up some pork chops in a nice coating of bread crumb, spices, and three kinds of cheese and gettin' some veggies on. Smelling really good around here. ;D Whatchu got goin' on tonight?

I can walk just fine in stilettoes too. I don't know... I've never had a problem walking in heels whatsoever. Can't have taken me 5 minutes to learn. The only thing that was kind of messy at first was walking in stairs. But that was a looooong time ago now.
I think I walk better in heels than in flats in some weird way. 'Cause my feet are too flat, so I walk kind of... Too much on the insides. Tends to feel better if I get a bit of heel under my foot. I think I can walk the same distances in heels and flats too (maybe even longer in some), just maybe not stilettoes. But any clunkier heel is fine. Driving long distances is fine too. The only time it's not so nice is if I'm in a big hurry, 'cause they really slow you down (also running in stilettoes gets hurty fast, and I don't mean falling).
Aww... Sometimes I miss having a cat. I couldn't get myself to get a new one though.
The dress is... Hm... It's pretty simple, but it's two layers, one opaque layer underneath and a mostly transparent layer on top. It's black and the top layer has some sort of little flowery pattern to it. It's about... A bit shorter than knee-length and the opaque layer doesn't cover the shoulders but the top layer does? Hm... It's really simple anyway. I feel like I should get a wide belt or something to cinch my waist a tiny bit come to think of it... Would look good with that one, 'cause it doesn't have much shape on it's own.
I haven't heard any news at all this week. Sorry to hear that. ._.
I think I'm pretty okay today... Finished a little Swedish assignment for tomorrow. She said it should just be a little tiny one, but I finished in a little over a day, so I still think that's pretty good of me!

Me and dad sort of jointly bought a rug some numbers of years ago, it's pink and it says 'Oh no, not you again!". I thought it was funnies! But mum wouldn't let us put it by the door. *pouts* I think if I'm moving onto campus again next semester then I'll probably grab that one and take it with me.
I'm wondering a bit if I shouldn't have brought my new dress and boots with my this week. Next week I'll be busy cleaning so I'm no sure what I should wear then.

S'gonna be another hot one and it's not gonna be a super busy day at the studio other than a lot of the more tedious busywork of my job, so I'm just dressing for comfort.

I'm doin' alright. A bit tired, but nothing too terrible. Weather's nice, so I getta wear all my fun cool summer clothes out now, so that's always good. Probably gonna have a nice chill evening and play some Sleeping Dogs I think. Whatcha got planned for the evening?
