Hey! I know you sent that message a million years ago, but I've only recently just logged back in here (mostly in anticipation for PSO2). I'm sorry, but I unfortunately don't have much good news to share. To keep it brief, I've hit a low point in life, but I'm still standing. I'd go in detail but it's really depressing :/
If you wanna keep in touch, I have a Skype and a Tumblr (both doctorshanks), and an e-mail which I publicly posted on this site in my profile if I recall.
I have decided to purge my friends list this week. It previously had 52. Now it has 18. The vast majority of people on there are those I met from playing PSZ a few times before they up and vanished from PSO-World and those who are still around PSO-World but I don't talk to on a regular basis. For the most part, the list now contains mostly people who are in the Blue Rogues group.
i normally stick to one game too but grinding solo gets old so i get board so im going back to old games and messing around i even played some pso on gc a few weeks ago
im still playing alot i just get board playing by myself so i cycle though my games alot about every 30-50 hours im switching games so currently i gues you could say im playing psz ,psu:aoti, psp ,psp2 ,psp2i demo ,gauntlet:dark legacy ,pokemon pearl daimond and saphire

and thats only if i dont start a jp account and play pso2 jp till the western release
Oh sorry AtBhr, i've been rather busy with my gf and what not. Glad you decided to message me about it otherwise I would of never known.
Alright before I give my full opinion on it, I've been playing it since like 2008 on and off. Back then it was really terrible. In my opinion at least. But I think it was in 2010 they released something called the Big Bang Patch. It fixed pretty much everything I had an issue with (exp rate, hard to get from one place to another etc.)
Even after all these changes though, its still a very grindy game past lvl 60.
But honestly, in terms of content.. Maplestory is one of the best mmo's.
Gameplay is obviously different from you regular run of the mill mmo, its 2D action rpg based. Combat can be boring at times, but its nothing in comparison to the countless amount of point and click mmorpgs out there, and hotkey spammers. The UI is made to easily navigate all the menu's, the community is obviously enormous and they started something called server merges which basicly combines 1-4 servers into a "mega server" I guess you could call it. But like many games, people can be abit shy so its advised to find yourself a guild.
I really cant stress enough how important that is, I guarantee you that it wont be as fun of an experience without some "friends" with you.
So that basicly sums up what I think about it, and there will definitely be a class you want to play. They have so many now, not to mention the explorers class branches off into different classes.
I think its worth a shot if anything, its not the least bit gfx/cpu dependent. Let me know if you need help with anything! Have fun.
Hey, AtBHR. I know, no one expected to hear from me again. But there's a reason I haven't been on.
My internet has been down for quite some time. Now that it's back, it doesn't work well with DS games' wireless functionality. As such, I can no longer play PS0 online. Even if I could, I am busy with work these days.
Although I still play offline, and have enjoyed many revivals I've attended, I hereby announce my indefinite leave active immediately.
I wish I could still participate.
I'll still check in every now and again to chat and whatnot. It's been fun.
