Also, just a note on honorifics: you generally don't use honorifics when referring to yourself, because it comes off as sounding arrogant.

I should've built it sometime over the past few months when I literally had no obligations except "looking for a job", which I set my own hours on. (I'm being optimistic that this period will end soon because I'm going to get this job that I'm (still) interviewing for).

Yeah, if you're using a plural of undefined magnitude you just write it the same as the singular. The reason why it got translated back into just "sword" is because without context Google Translate doesn't know which one it's supposed to be and probably just defaults to being singular (lack of context is a big reason why Google Translate fails so much). As for the word for "chaos", it's not uncommon for a noun to be written with more than one kanji. A lot of words can be represented with just one kanji, but there are also a lot that are combinations of multiple kanji. For instance, "breakfast" can be written 朝食 (choushoku), which just combines the kanji for "morning" and "to eat".

lol, well, the short version is that you don't. The only plurals that there are for Japanese are pretty much for personal pronouns (i.e. I > we, he/she > they). It's pretty easy. All you do is take the pronoun and add -tachi to it. So, watashi (I) becomes watashi-tachi (we). But other than that there really aren't plurals in Japanese. If you wanted to say one melonpan or 100 melonpans, it would still just be メロンパン (though in the case of a specific number you would append the number plus a counter like 個: メロンパン１００個 (meronpan hyaku-ko))

Also, just a small point, but it should be "ケンちゃん". You don't put a hyphen between a name and an honorific in Japanese, and they're normally written in hiragana/kanji, not katakana.
