"Pure" Mags. Pros & Cons

I'm currently on the course of making a pure mind mag. While doing so I've been wondering if it's actually that beneficial to my cause. I'm a FOmar going for pure magic whether it be for support in groups or heavy damage techniques.

I've heard that pure mags don't evo to the 4th tier. Now, when speaking of tiers generally one assumes that the higher tier is "better" than the lower tiers in some way, so this has lead me to believe that pure mags could be deemed inferior to 4th tier mags. Is that correct? Is this fact or is it subjective?

Hopefully there could be some discussion that would enlighten those of us who are unlearned! Maybe even to detail the different play styles across Hunters, Rangers and Forcers.

It isn't true. Pure mags don't evolve to a fourth-tier form, but their abilities are in no way inferior (unless your race, class, level, and preferred mode of attack really call for a non-pure mag). Pure mags still get an advanced nature at level 60 and can still be evolved into a rare mag form with the proper soul as long as their level is high enough. Also, they're easier to raise--tier 3 mags grow more quickly than tier 4 mags, assuming they're fed the same things.

Thats a very good point, I never though of that but it's true...
But of course, if it's problematic for you to not be able to reach Tier 4 and have a certain photon blast or whatever, you can always just give your mag one point in something else. That wouldn't change ALMOST anything except that you'd have some more choice for the final outcome :D

Well if you were tryign to get a certain photon blast than you'd probably be planning ahead anyway. So, the lack of a 4th tier is not really an issue.

Heh, my Thohn was given a delicious Puyo Soul and now it's my RAcast's bro for life, 100 power, breezy nature, and Granrir is an awesome combination.

For a RAcast, you might want to try a Ruffian nature or the Midgul PB, too. (Those are good for CAST Hunters and human Rangers, too.)

I don't find S/D that useful in PS0 because it lasts so short.
