what is the best "short sword" type weapon?

That's S-Beat's blade, IMO the best short sword type weapon, you can find it in the rare weapons page.

It's also my personnal favorite..

Very Powerful and with a Dim-Special
(Strikes Enemies down with one hit)
Other than the usual Dagger-style Weapons, even Rangers can equip it !
