I have made a 2nd character offline on another VMU and levelled her up to 13. Last night, I wanted to get online with her for the first time so I can transfer some items from my 1st character.
After loading from the start menu, the DC asks me to reconfirm my registration number and access key. At this point I got scared, I was afraid the DC might go online and try to register using my #'s again with the PSO servers (which I know it can't) and then complain that my #'s are already in use and I can't get online with them (this happened to me before, I lost a character that way). So I cancelled.
Does anyone know what I am talking about? For those who have logged multiple characters online: is this normal? Is the DC suppose to reconfirm my registration number like that?
I know all this might sound really stupid, but I just need some form of confirmation that I won't lose my 1st character.
Any input will be very much appreciated.

You're fine using the serial number and access key again for your second character...I did. You CD info can support many characters, but your characters can only be played from YOUR dreamcast.
