i was wondering if anyone could tell me anything about computers.
i have windows vista on my computer (laptop) Gateway M-1625
i would like to get XP(pro) but i have NO idea where or what to look for
drivers wise. . .i was wondering if anyone could link me to a website that could have them. I am using the pc i use for PSU so i need to make sure i have all the drivers BEFORE i install xp.....thank you for your time, if you need any more info to link me to the right drivers please let me know.

Check your laptop makers website, they should have drivers for various OS's there. Also check whether the CDs that came with the laptop have XP drivers.

You're smart enough to realize you need drivers, but didn't bother searching Gateway's site?
Well, if you want to install an OS, better start learning. Or pay someone to do it.
and ACTUALLY i did check the gateway website, they didnt have ANYTHING on my pc about xp drivers for my model....but thank you for trying to help..
I use to have an old Gateway computer. Back in the day they were quite popular but I also had loads of different driver issues with mine and that time I didn't know too much about computers. I then tried a recommendation from a friend who said that this was the best driver update software he had used in order to get an old graphics card working.
