The deals at ToysRUs and NewEgg have either sold out or expired, and the Guitar Hero 5 deal has also ended. All the rest are still available as of the time of this post.

Dead Space is a very cool and innovative game, though it can be a bit scary if you're sitting home alone at night playing it. The first time I played it, I was doing just that, and it was fairly creepy ;)

Mirror's Edge is also a very fun and unique gaming experience. I own all four of the most recently added titles, and I think those two are by far the best (and probably the two that every gamer should at least try once).

Army of Two is fun if you have somebody to play co-op with, but the single player isn't that bad either. Games like Borderlands and Left 4 Dead have definitely set new standards for co-op play, so I wouldn't put it at the very top of my co-op must-haves list or anything. There's a sequel coming out in 2010.

I have mixed feelings on Lord of the Rings: Conquest. If you played any of the previous Lord of the Ring games published by EA, you may be somewhat disappointed with the combat system. I'm not a huge fan of the Battlefront franchise either, and this uses the same basic framework. However, they made pretty decent use of the licensing and the ability to play through both good and evil campaigns was a fun addition.

Deal Update: Three of the deals offered by Microsoft have expired and returned to their retail prices (Batman, Beatles Rock Band, Band Hero). Bakugan was still $29.99 the last time I checked. Updated the original post accordingly.

Downside is that you have to get above $25 for free shipping, as it is an actual disk/case and not a downloadable like on Steam.

Make sure you check the platform list for each game when you're looking at ones sold by Amazon.com. A lot of the titles on sale are for both 360 and PS3 (and even Wii in some cases), yet the links all default to the PS3 version for some odd reason.

I picked up Prototype(had that on 360, but I sold my 360, and never got to beat it).
And I also picked up Modern Warfare hardened edition for my friend and brother in law for Christmas!
I'm not into the whole army shoot 'em ups. But my friend and brother in law likes em.

I spent about $175 or so.
I got the 3-5 day shipping for pretty cheap (or what I think was cheap).

I've been playing Modern Warfare 2 and it's definitely THE game to be playing right now for FPS fans. My entire 360 friends list has turned into one big huge list of people playing it, so you can't really go wrong choosing it for a gift. I'm likely going to give a couple away myself.

Whoa good call! I'm definitely going to be taking advantage of this now. I have a PS3 so I would have anyway, but I was just being whiny about playing cross-platform games on my PS3 over my 360. :p

However, for those of you who missed the Modern Warfare 2 deals on Friday, Amazon has Modern Warfare 2 Hardened Edition on sale as a lightning deal for just $47.99. Doesn't get much better than that for a collector's edition.

A sweet batch of deals for today from Amazon, including a nice collection of DS RPGs:
I picked up a couple, including the Dead Space 2 pre-order. Even though the estimated ship date on DS2 isn't until 2011, it will be nice to have a good price locked in (they won't charge you until it ships). Hoping they'll eventually offer some kind of pre-order bonus at some point (typically $5 or $10 video game credit), which will automatically apply to pre-orders and make it an even better deal.

I was going to pick up The World Ends With You, and Crisis Core. But since I don't do much online shopping, the $6 in shipping seemed to kill it for me. I didn't feel it was much of a deal anymore, since I've found Crisis Core for $10 at other times in store before. Not sure about TWEWY, but I don't have quite the disposable income for it now.

Just for the record: If you have a DS and don't have/plan on getting The World Ends with You... You're doing it wrong. It pretty much justifies the existance of the platform on its own.

Glad you guys like the deals so far! I'm really trying to limit the posting to only the very best deals currently available. If I wouldn't consider buying it myself, it likely will not end up in this thread :)

The Metroid Prime deal is really good and the Gamefly promo is great for anyone wanting to try that service out (a little over $15 for two months of unlimited game rentals if you get the 1 game plan).

Not sure if it's already been mentioned (I don't even know if it is seasonal), but the trade-in deal at GameStop where any four titles from any one system will net you an extra $20 in credit is pretty sweet. I got $154 for turning in 4 Wii games and 4 360 games.

Nice to have the extra scratch this time of year.

Don't see why not. Didn't expect last second deals to continue here right before that X-MAS.

PSZ being a niche game, yeah. Plus when you do a few clicks on Amazon to see where it ranks among other DS games, boy you're in for a surprise. It was 40 or so when I looked, below such gems of the year like licensed toy games, not LEGO but those ones you don't remember that flood the market.

I didn't expect that $35, figuring it a $30 MSRP, but luckily had a $5 credit from a bad order - email help that brought it under $30. $33.99 - $5 = $28.99 out the door/shipped!

Oh and I went through the PSOW homepage link, figuring that might help some, but I don't remember if it said all the click-thru extra stuff in the URL back then. Checking now, it still doesn't? Unless I just don't know the exact terms to look for.

There are some crazy good deals there, and apparently they're one-day only. Tomorrow there will be a whole new set of games on sale.

Would really like to get ahold of GTA 4, but last I heard of it, it's in an insanely buggy, and unsupported state. Unless it's been patched since then.
