Always wanted a monk-type class.

right now fighter and bouncer are the only two classes that don't have a shared weapon with a successor, meanwhile hero's icon is a +sword, phantom is a +rod, so the next class has gotta be a +gun.

im leaning on boots / fighter weapon (knuckles preferably) / launcher

they could wind up doing something else entirely of course; but im just basing my speculation off of the patterns I could gather from what we got now

bonus prediction: icon color will be green

I want something like a martial arts fighting style

Let the new class have Knuckles that have extended shockwaves like you see in Anime/Manga. A launcher that fires elemental -throwers and machinegun fire like turrents and a Tact that uses non-elemental techs that induce bind, Banish Arrow-lite techs and support techs that increase crit-ratios/damage and attack speed.

they got that message in one of the more recent player surveys; so we may see it for episode 7, but they've already been planning this next successor class for a while now.

From the end of episode 3 with the Austere OT laundry list of items, through early episode 4's "you have barely enough time to max element a weapon from these files" and late ep4's "you have barely enough time to +35 the weapon you want from files without a drop" to whatever the heck was happening in episode 5 before lightstream/atlas ex; I would have absolutely dreaded the idea of 2 more weapon types to cover.

I think that was part of the objective of the Adva-"Successor" classes, to let us use some gear we might not have liked before; or at least use some stuff we already had around.

but now that we got a bunch of good weapon series that we can change the type of as long as we got the materials for it, I can finally say it would be a pain to add in some more weapon types again. I have been deeply disturbed ever since I realized there hasn't been a single slicer model used for anything in pso2 yet. like with hero I was expecting them to maybe make some talis camos to rep slicers but we still haven't even seen a trace of disca of liberator or slicer of assassin anywhere.


anyway; I'm also expecting this next class to have a psudo-buff-support gimmick to contrast with Phantom's Jellen Redress skill. Bouncer already fills this secondary-support-that-nobody-will-miss-if-they-aren't-in-the-MPA role, so we'll just have to see what it is. not to mention we didn't even know about phantom's jellen shenanigans until much closer to it's release, so we might not get much more than a teaser like phantom's first teaser

my idea for next succesor class should be : partizan , wand and gunblade in plan of imitate roman soldiers , crusadiers and antiriot police

Next class should be pseudo Borderlands 2 with passive Hp, pp regen for kills, damage reduction when under status and maybe increased movement speed when low health to retreat from danger.

Jetboots, knuckles Wireed lance. With techs to support yourself and others. Hell would be awesome if you can cast techs similar to bouncer but it would change your attacks, like with lightning you can cuase short and move faster. Ice slows them down, fire does more damage with a fire dot. Light you have armor and mve faster, Dark does extra damage and adds poison and a defense debuff.

Who am I kidding, it's Sega it's gonna be fuckery. :P

I just want Twin Claw play back or a better Knuckle play, absolutely up for anything improved on Launcher, 3rd filler weapon is meh unless they actually come through and make all 3 super good and not the whole 1 triumphs the others which if it happens again, fine by me. Balance is always welcome

I can definitively see the launcher as the weapon for the next successor class. it seems that they're taking the main weapons from the prime classes, the first ones: Hunter (sword) and Force(Rod). So the next one should be Ranger(Launcher).

Green is already Braver and Bouncer's. I think the icon will be white gold, elegant and lustrous :-)

Doublesaber, wand, and bow would be my personal wishlist. But mostly, I ask for wand.

Idk I was thinking wand, partisan, bow for like a knight like build if they made wand like a sword and shield for the class. But something with the launcher so I can just special beam cannon all the things would be really cool too.

There's Ranger on Phantom already with rifle tho. Could be Bullet Bow from Braver cause the last ones are Gunner (Hero) and Ranger (Phantom) on R-ATK line up, though I still wish for Launcher as well.

My prediction: TDs, JBs, Bow with Bow being the "representative" weapon.

Some of these segments feel like bad filler anime.

Among all these successor class predictions, I'm a bit surprised no one thought of gunslash being the ranged weapon. That being said, Knuckles, Gunslash, Jet Boots.

It's not Ultra Harukotan. It's just the September EQ with 1 Ultra Hard boss at the end.

They're playing an arranged version of Kuron though, which means its coming. Also the Ultralized Gal Gryphon. Its like the Summer event previews; Ultralized Facility bosses, for the event, and then the upcoming Ultra Wopal followed later. Why even making arrangements of Harkotan themes, but you had no plans to put this difficulty out for that planet? Shirona's theme was in the next trailer. My only guess is that they probably will plan it for probably during November.

2 melee weapons is certainly unexpected, but hey... They're finally giving DBs justice and making them actually fluid and stylish like PSU twin sabers instead of a massive disappointing gimmick festa. Wand PAs look sexy as hell, like a real magic+melee hybrid. DS is... ok, I guess (at least it's not going to block the screen with whirlwind noise 95% of the time).

Now that I am fully rested, I have to say that the one thing that disappointed me was the fact that it appears that the Yas 8000C outfit is not layered wear, but rather a costume in cape and no-cape variants. But hey, SPACE TUNA!!!!!!

So basically, 13* NT extension does not exist to provide an upgrade over current equipment for main class weapons, but to allow non-mainclass weapons to be used as an upgrade over Blood (for example Rifle for Te/Ra) by scoring Great Success or using the appropriate Add Class support item. In other words, a way to close the gap between meta and non-meta builds at the expense of a huge amount of materials and meseta.

The only TeBo I would even play is one where I spam buffs, fields, restas/antis/zanverse like crazy so the 13* NT crafts sound neat atm to me.

But to make it on par or stronger then 15*, you'll basicly want to put Ripper and Slayer onto it 13* they can have 20% chance to add on

Ripper has 3 type Fire, Ice, Lightning weakness
Slayer too, Native, Water race, and Mech

important no point out that they are a 7% damage boost on 11*~13* weapon
12% on 1*~10*
3% on 14*
1% on 15*

So the vades scythe and it's rod counterpart are weaker than the 14* lavis and naegasa rod even after fully crafting?

I'm not sure but I'd like to find out. Due to crafting, Vades Scythe would gain around 500 stats which is a lot. It also has a S2 slot so it has a better time of catching up than other Wands.

The Rod however probably doesn't gain much as Crafted stats for rods are your typical 120 s-atk for each 160 t-atk while Vades Rod itself has them both essentially equal.

how about this compared to Jupiter Tullus Plus with BoPh? i think Jupiter Tullus Plus beats regular LS (5-4-4/200/3%) in BoHu. i want to know before i am making decisions affixing my JT+ to 275 atk and enough PP to get 100% crit BoPh. i play FiBo at ep3 and maybe can comeback to that class.

and Kite->snatch->Dove->snatch isn't it supposed to be better than DWing->snatch after balance adjustments?

boph is weaker than bohu in paper dps so i didn't add it in there since boph's strengths arent in its damage but in things that boost dps indirectly. also bohu jt is on the 2nd one, i just forgot about bohu jt for the first set.

kite snatch dove snatch i forgot about it, but the trend should be similar to dwing snatch since snatch breaks taja.

this is just paper dps stuff i made since i play the class, but i posted here as a half-shitpost
since you know; paper/theoretical dps doesn't always translate to practical/realistic dps :wacko:

bopha should be able to just like, spam blade weapon action forever now shouldn't it? I know it gets waaaay more dps during pbf but if it's no longer 100% emptying your gear on top of phantom's gear build boost skill; I'd think that should make it close if not always max your gear out again
