This is the first story I've heard of the "Room Glitch" on 360.

I think many more 360 players would have noticed this weeks ago IMO if indeed there was a glitch.

360 hasn't been hacked online, the DVD hack is easily patched if you go on Live. The mod chips is only for the DVD firmware that allows you to play burned games.

360 is still "hack-free" because...

All PSU hacks are done on PC. PS2 is just as safe as 360, it's that unfortunately PS2 is connected to PC servers.
