You should have a file called pso2h.log in your pso2_bin folder, can you copy the contents to a pastebin and link it here?
Ah, try running the game through the tweaker without Xsplit running.
What OS are you on? And I'm assuming you're using something like fraps/OBS or something like that?
For those of you getting NP1015s, I just pushed a new plugin update, it wasn't working properly with the PSO2Proxy plugin (if that was the only plugin you had active), so that should be fixed. Also...
Like Alam suggested you can make a soft link to the folder. I've actually already done the configuration stuff, it's just not released yet. Whenever tweaker supports it I'll throw it out there.
For some reason, the plugins don't seem to update properly. You can bug AIDA about that one.
As for why you're freezing up, you can blame the fact that PSO2 + some configurations with plugins...
Orb -> Uncheck Always on Top
Make a backup when it asks you before you install the patch (going from vanilla to any patch). That way restoring a backup is faster than redownloading the files.
Second, if it freezes, use task...
Verify that the translator.dll and translation.bin downloaded correctly (not 0). Also, it translates in real time, so it might've been in the middle of translating when you looked.
Ctrl+F1 also...
Double check network connections to see if you have multiple active network connections (e.g. something like Hamachi).
Orb -> Check for PSO2 Updates, hit No on the dialog, and it'll bring you back to vanilla PSO2. Reinstall the EN patch and Story patch (whichever you use), and you'll be fine.
Uncheck and recheck the Translate Items checkbox to redownload the DLL until the translator.dll in your pso2_bin folder is like 32 kb.
No it's fine. Did you do the pre-patch by chance? It's possible that you got caught in the launcher bug and had it deleted...
My suggestion to you is... if the data folder is missing, you might...
Ok uh. Not trying to make you feel dumb or anything, but are you sure that's where PSO2 is installed? The default location on 64-bit systems is:
C:\Program Files...
Game updated, so new client, new files. Patches don't work with the new stuff yet, and we don't have the ability to test anything until the game itself goes back online.
If it's just the item translation not working, you shouldn't need to reinstall anything else. Try unchecking and rechecking the item translation box so it'll redownload, then verify that...
Not 0. I once tried it through Tweaker and it didn't work, I then checked the filesize and it was 0, so Tweaker wasn't downloading it correctly. But that should be fixed now.
The file sizes should...
^Check the file sizes of translation.bin and translator.dll in your pso2_bin folder.
Tweaker checks all files and downloads missing ones, not sure if SEGA's launcher does the same thing with their file checking, but eh.
For reference, my folder is 21.6 GB, with all of the patches.
Yeah, so it turns out why it wasn't working for me was because it didn't download the files correctly, go figure. Glad that it works for you!
So I tried it through Tweaker and it didn't work (items untranslated), but the method itself isn't broken, so we just have to wait for AIDA to come back online and fix it.
Edit:
Ah, do me a...
I gave a working copy to AIDA a few hours ago, and I believe she put it up already, so you probably just need to restart it through tweaker.
That is pretty bizarre. The item translation works fine for me on virtual full screen.
I'll try to reproduce the issue somehow, I have some idea of what it could be, so I'll look into it.
Thanks for that, I'll try to reproduce it and figure out exactly what it is. I know what you're talking about with the 'PSO2 has stopped working' error and still being able to move around in game,...
Could you reproduce it a second time? I know it's not really intuitive to look for ways to crash your game, but it'll be really helpful to know if this was a one time thing or not.
Also, the item...
