I think you can change the resolution through PSO2 Options. It should be available in the third tab of that window.

Apparently, you can get them by:
-clearing ep1, 2, 3 (gives 3)
-completing ep 1, 2, 3 (gives 3)
-clearing ep 1-3 (gives 1)
-completing ep 1-3 (gives 1)

Clearing means you simply do gold nodes...
