As you said, some targets have weird hitboxes. It's pretty safe to say that the range stuff follows the center of the weakspot instead of all the weakspot. Meaning that you should approach that part....

VHAQ. Enemies have 10 times less HP and five maybe half of it compared to SHAQ, meaning that they're much easier to kill and 2 kills would match (if not surpass) in exp against same enemy in SHAQ.
