Try running the game without the patches. If that works install the patches one at a time to see if one of them is causing the crash

None of the updates, have to deal with the hassle of the IP block, and the JP version has most of the important stuff patched to english anyways. I don't see any point in trying the SEA version.

Its pretty much only block 20. Most of the other blocks are pretty quiet so ship02 is the best of both worlds :-P
