Well, I'll put it this way. Every FT I've ever seen with elemental rods sucked ass at support, so until I see an exception to that rule, it's a hard and fast rule in my brain.

Except wasting your rod space by elementing it then limits your capacity to support, making you a wasted slot in a party.
