It seems to me like you don't know what Beta is. Regardless of if this is the worst beta ever, doesn't matter, as BETA status means that it'll still have bugs (not counting the few that slip through...

It seems that Armors and Shields can have vary in how much it increases DFP and EVP (and/or whatever else stats). The best example I can think of is the armor/etc. sold in stores.
