The same little aura you get in CM when someone else drops an item, it glows.

this is probably the only problem I have with that option. I just left mines to default because it became hard to keep track of things.

3-4k per excube sounds reasonable to me. 4k at the worse is 400k but its roughly that. 10/11* can make you almost 2m I think lol.

It can be very time consuming if you only have 2 characters. thats 22 grinders per week. Unless you use protection to high hell you're easily spending more than 40 grinders on +10 (protection indeed...
