Two skewers t0 can fit into a volg easy. You can also fit one skewer t0 and PUT into a volg combo aswell. But for that one you need to be at point blank range and have perfect timing on the ja.

Both of them can carry AM and MH, i don't see how that changes anything. I also don't see how dodging more than necessary makes it more fun, but this is where preference in gameplay style takes over...

Automate is 100x better. Even if iron will procs, it's still not 100% guaranteed to save you from death, and all of that for 200 extra atk that doesn't even last for long.
