so yeah, this is my 2nd threat that i started in this rants forum, so I just wanna say that Muay Thai, as much as I enjoy it, is really painful as hell. a few days ago, I did some sparring and my legs ended up hurting like hell, both of them. and everytime I go to sleep, I just keep feeling the pain there, I feel pain even if I just lay down or something. I want to do some more sparring but these legs just won't let me, and I don't wanna make it worse. it got better like 2 days after but I aggravated it again like a few days after that and now it hurts again. =(

Wait until you get older. You won't be able to do it at all. I'd recommend something a little easier on your body.

if you haven't been doing it long its gonna be hell. its not as bad as Garroway is making it. your not gonna become crippled from doing it. if anything its making you stronger.

i always wanted to learn Muay Thai and Grappling but alas. i can't afford it

I've been doing it for like maybe 3 years or so, and I have been getting injured like this for quite a few times already. but man, having BOTH of my legs hurt is a bitch.

My point is that there are many alternatives that are actualy completely good for you. Muay Thai has a "harder than thou" element to it that is completely unnecessery. As a style it suffers from some of the same problems Tae Kwon Do suffers from (not to the extent, of course I realise that tae Kwon Do is an extreme example) in that you more or less train to fight other people who use Muay Thai. I am merely recommending that you keep an open mind, do some sound research, and look at some of the alternatives.

    Wow. You post this NOW?

What, didn't it happen LAST WEEK?

Meh. 'ouch, my legs' for you, "MOTHERF@#$ING S@#$HOLES ON A MOTHERF@#$ING F@#$ED-UP B@#$% S@#$F@#$" for me. We're two different people.

And this is why I don't train in the martial arts.
