Go play Silent Hill and it'll become more clear. xD

But anyway, the "dark world" would refer to the world behind the hole. As for the Nightmare mode that would be a game mode with higher difficulty which you can access once you've beaten the game once. Or something like that. I've only played Silent Hill 3 (don't take the elevator silly girl!).

French translations are very crappish, especially for some mission names (i.e., if i translate back, "Rage" for Mad Creatures ; "Wild Animals" for The Mad Beasts, and the like...).
Well, no wonder why i d/led the US game, huh (ok... it was more because i didn't want to buy a game AND an online subscription).

The LL(Linear Line) must be the Normal Dark World, and I guess the <word Here> would be teh Nightmare World...
