Yes, the history article was put together in early 2006, as part of our 5th Anniversary Celebration. I imagine that we'll probably update it sometime in the future (almost definitely for our 10 year anniversary, and likely sooner).
It's really a great read for anyone who has been around for a while!

The site was launched on January 11th, 2001. So, the site has definitely been around for a while
I wrote up that site history article in early 2006 as part of the site's 5th anniversary events. The entries for 2006 and 2007 haven't been written yet since each year requires a large investment in research and writing.
