Thought I'd share an article I found on Digg. Apparently, someone went and created 'perler bead sprites'.

If you look closely, you can see a surprise appearance.

Now I didn't really play the games, but was the surprise appearance by the Phantasy Star characters? Anyway, that was pretty neat.

That's awesome! One of my coworkers makes things like that. She has a little Goomba that she keeps on her nametag.

I remember those bead things that you had to Iron together!! I made more of a mess with them than actual art!! I must say those are very cool.
