Can't return to Forest 2?

My son has been playing PSO for a week or so. Even though his character has defeated the dragon, he cannot automatically return to forest 2. Instead he has to go to forest1, and work his way to 2.

Is this normal? If not, what is going wrong?

That is perfectly normal. The only time you can return to Forest 2, is if you've been there already in that sitting. If you quit, you gotta work your way through Forest 1 again.

Beating the dragon "resets" the level. This comes into play later after you complete the caves and mines.
