Story Mission 12: Episode 3, Chapter 2. Restorations 1, Block 2?

Ok, I have had it. Been trying to do this mission for the first time, and actually managed to pass block one just fine. Took 2 tries to get the reverse-colored six-button issue. But, I did get through it.

Its the SECOND block that's getting me.

This is the block that has only a single pair of buttons at the earlier part of the stage.

To the left of these buttons, a small room with a Beade Groode guards a teleporter that is behind a rock.
(Beat the 'Groode for the teleport to activate, it seems).

Problem.

'Porter doesn't pop you past the gate... instead, to a spot just before the spot where the (normally inactive) gateposts are.

I hit the button to switch the gate (again, early block 2, Restorations 1).

The gate switches from blocking access to the next green door, to the normally inactive gateposts.

I get off the button, and it reverts? WTF?

As far as I've gone over Restorations 1, B2, there is only 1 pair of buttons... how do I get the buttons to 'stay put' on B2?

HELP! I've been doing this for 3 hrs!

Step on the button that's green and it will change when you get off.

Problem is, that the gate resets to the default setting! It won't 'stay' changed!

Perhaps there's a sequence to the order of things to do on B2?

IE: I kill the 'Groode, then hit button. Soon as I'm off them, though, they revert.

Okay listen.. the one that is lit on green... step on it.. then step off of it.. it will change to red...

Ok, now I see....

I'd been hitting the right hand (Default Red) button only... never the left hand one!
