Just out of curiosity since I just forged a storm, does the bonus for having both equipt activate if I am wielding the main had weapon with the storm in the off hand? (Purely hypothetical considering that as a protranser I don't use stormline)

Well on FiG and FG they are a decent combo. I dont think AT has high enough bullets or ATP to make it an actual worthwhile combo.
still doesn't answer the question. If I were to use a crimsion/storm and stormline. Would the bonus take effect while the crimsion was being used?
The set bonus is only in effect when you are using that weapon. Using a crimson you won't get any increase in atp or dfp.
The bonus only applies to the weapon it's meant to apply to, not to anything else equipped in the other hand.
