    Jaguars 0 -2

    such a close game

The Bills hadn’t thrown a deep pass all day. They have one of the best deep receivers in the game but the Jaguars were playing their time-honored “Cover Two” defense for the purpose of denying the deep ball, and the strategy had been wildly successful, until 4:27 remained in the game.

All of a sudden, on a third-and-six play in which the Jaguars expected quarterback Trent Edwards to dump another swing pass to one of his running backs, Edwards instead went deep to Evans. The play covered 37 yards to the Jaguars’ seven-yard line and led to the game-winner one play later, a beautiful seven-yard touchdown toss by Edwards to rookie receiver James Hardy.

Their lumps now number two. In a season most thought would send the Jaguars to new heights, they have quickly sunk to unimagined depths. They are 0-2 and next up is a trip to Indianapolis. No more analysis is required.

What to do? That’s simple: Find a way to convert on third down and make big plays. The Bills were able to make a big play when they needed one. The Jaguars’ longest pass-completion was 15 yards.

David Garrard is going to take the fall for this one. That’s a quarterback’s job. He accepts as much in exchange for cashing the big check each week.

In this case, the blame is deserved. He made a horrible throw at the end of the first half; cost his team a field goal, at the least. Also, as mentioned, the third-down conversion rate is abysmal.

What if, however, Garrard was throwing to Lee Evans? That was the difference in Sunday’s game. The Jaguars just couldn’t find a way to make a play downfield and it has spilled over into the Jags’ vaunted running game. The Bills held Fred Taylor and Maurice Jones-Drew to 66 yards rushing combined.

It’s become a weekly thing. Taylor and Jones-Drew haven’t combined for 100 yards in a game since before the playoff win in Pittsburgh. Why? Because opponents are crowding the line of scrimmage and daring the Jaguars to throw. The Bills repeatedly left Jaguars receivers in single coverage.

Dunno who I'll be rooting for this year... Jets and Ravens?

With Brady out of the season, who has a fighting chance to the superbowl?

well, normally i could write a very long and dramatic post about how the NFL is playing out, but i really can't do that this year. the NFL is in a state of anarchy. i've always applauded the "underdog" to win over the dynasty, but there is no dynasty. there are no good side stories to cover. in the AFC, i refuse to believe that buffalo and the tennessee titans are the best teams. i cannot stand either of them. the titans will lose a few more games in the second half of the season, they just had the best stride in the start of the race.

but the colts, chargers, patriots... three teams i want to see on top of their divisions... they're in disarray. the patriots will come out ok. they'll make the playoffs and come around. but now i'm genuinely starting to worry for the colts and chargers. arguably the most talented teams, they may not make the playoffs at all. and you have other teams capitalizing on this with complete mediocrity. this year, the teams that SHOULD win aren't winning. even the jaguars i expected to be the fourth best team in the nfl going into this year.

last week i looked at the standings... aside from 5 teams, EVERY team across the NFL was either 4-2 or 3-3. that's just rediculous. and as much as i hate that facist regime the new england patriots, i hated them with passion. i LOVED hating them with every ounce of my being. but matt "asshole" cassel cant fill the shoes of brady, although the team's core is still pretty solid.

every few years when the league is in a state that it is in right now, where "everyone has a shot," you see some decent teams winning the superbowl that you look back on through the decade and think, "jesus, remember that super bowl? why the hell were they in it?" well, this will probably be one of those years.

    SUPER BOWL PREDICTION:

    redskins(or panthers) vs. titans(or bills)

shittiest superbowl ever. hopefully, some of the teams i want in the superbowl will eventually come out of their funk. hoepfully ladainian will stop whining about his toe and establish a run game for the chargers, and hopefully romo will get it together, because he's having more problems than just his pinky finger. i can understand peyton's troubles, he has a rookie left guard, and it's hard to maintain consistent when you're constantly worrying about your blind side.

on a side note, the "fate" nike commercial is insanely awesome:

now i have to write a big story of mine...

    my prediction is
    Bills and Packers

but mostly I want my JAguars and PAckers

    Chargers 3-4
i think they are doing bad but with the bornos at 4 -3 the broncos are actually themselves are starting to do bad with a bunch if inter ceptions and fumbles and interceptions.

And I do not want the Tians in the super bowl.. no way....

Titans and Steelers is like Rivalry for jaguars...
    i dont mind bills

and for the cowboys i thought they were doing good until tony romo broke his pinky...
and I cant belive the Cardinals and panthers are doing good.

    things changed this season

The Cleveland Browns unveiled their own defensive scheme to shut down Kellen Winslow.

The team suspended their talented, emotional tight end for one game without pay for critical comments Winslow made following Sunday's loss at Washington.

Winslow, who spent three days at the Cleveland Clinic earlier this month with an undisclosed illness, revealed he had a staph infection before lashing out at Browns general manager Phil Savage as the Pro Bowler's teammates dressed after their 14-11 loss to the Redskins.

    also
Bush, who injured the knee Sunday on a punt return in the first half of his team's 30-7 loss to the Carolina Panthers, had the operation Monday in Birmingham, Ala., Saints spokesman Greg Bensel said Tuesday in an e-mail. He gave no other details.

    also
It did not look good Monday night when Patriots safety Rodney Harrison dropped to the ground, and it is not.

Harrison suffered a season-ending, and potentially career-ending, torn quad muscle.

When the JAguars had a bye week it really helped them get some injured players back up. and some teams losing going to 3-3 and boostling then to second in the AFC south. with Colts lost.

theres a bunch of news since these past weeks..
