I've had similar things happen too:

Me and a friend hunted for a Muktengek, got it, came out as a Muktengiku. Got a second one three days later after spamming the mission again, came out 12%.

Hunted for Mugunruk in Cost of Research, got one, came out Muguneptuline. Got a second one in the Bonus event from Mission Carnival - came out Mugunriku. Got a third one and it came out 18% Fire. -_-;
