    Hey all,
    any help would be great! I have made backups of both GDC files and SYS files and when I go to download them to the VMU on the web. they come up as text files? how do I download them to my VMU? This is driving me crazy! help someone out that lost there level 67 ranger : (

    I had that problem and I figured out that it was because I had other emails there.. Dont ask me why its messed up but that fixed my problems. Delete everything else there.

    Actually currently it is the only E-mail in my E-mail box? Is there an option for opening atacchments or something? I click on it and wala! it's all ascii text hhmmm I cant figure it out? what else do you suggest>
    I even tried youre Yahoo mail idea and same thing?

    you can't use web based e-mail, try a POP3 server.

    What's pop3 and how do you get one and use it? need pc?

    Even with POP3 email some of my backups are text-attachments, when it's the only one in the box too. I find that when I email a backup from my comp to my DC it's text, but DC to DC it's a viable vmu file.

    I've found a good free email with both POP3/SMTP access. www.HotPOP.com
    You might need a computer to sign up, but after that it works fine just on DC
