changing username

i am currently in the process of overhauling my entire internet persona.
is there a way to change my username without creating a new account?

I found that out about a year after creating this account. I haven't used my old account since I started this one but my old user name has a few years and a few hundred post behind it.

I suppose since it has no use it can be deleted or merged with this if possible. Though I don't see either happening.

Due to the sheer number of database changes that have to be made, we don't offer deletion or merging options.

We do offer the option of swapping usernames between old and new accounts if you want to resume using the old account.

You could always put "kyrith" in your user title. Like, "Kyrith, the hero of time" or something similar.
