Default Thinking on getting PSP for my PSP :P

Is it worth getting? I loved PSU on PS2, but I hear Phantasy Star Portable 2 is going to come out soon. So should I get Phantasy Star Portable 1 still or should I wait? D:

Oh btw I just joined these forums Hopefully I won't get raped for making a noob post :X

I would suggest getting PSP1. PSP2 is coming out soon yes, there is a demo already, but it is in Japanese. No word on an English version yet, but no way trying to discourage you from getting PSP2. If you can read Japanese, more power to you.

    And welcome to the forums!

Try to find at least four more games that you would want on the system. It's a great handheld, but man, games are scarce for it. I'm sure a ton of people are gonna come in with suggestions after I say this, but I say you should look at a PSP game list, and go from there.

Your money, your decision. Asking strangers isn't gonna help as much as you think it is. Don't wanna regret the decision, right?

Get Monster Hunter Freedom Unite. It'll tide you over until PSP:2.

    PSP isn't worth it.

I'll be honest and say MHFU has a lot slower gameplay than I was pumped for.

If you like the game PSU and don't wanna wait a few more months until it's released in the US/EU with the proper translation (except you can read japanese) I would say you would be good by buying the 1st part of Phantasy Star Portable.
It also has some lovers and haters like nrly every game but in my opinion it's a good game. I think you'll enjoy it.

I think all Phantasy Star releases on the Portable systems beat the console versions in just about every way.

Gotta play online, and get far into the game. So, the game requires a ton of patience. And a reasonable amount of time.

So it's one of those games you have to be a zombie for 100 hours before you actually start enjoing the game?
