You could assign a number to each member that wants it, then use a random number generator to decide who gets it. Random.org's got a pretty decent RNG to use.

Or you could just do the logical thing and trade it.

This is what I was thinking. Just assign each person a number and randomly generate it within the amount of people participating. Each number has an equal chance of coming up so it's completely fair. Each participant is only allowed 1 number.

I hope nobody who already has a wand participates just to sell it....
Even if I don't get it I'd at least want someone to make use of it and not just profit from selling it.

i would suggest some sort of farming event but since the only mobs drop are rares or usables, that goes out the window

there is also dice RNG or post time (hour:min:secs) but you could also make a contest: AMV, pumpkin carving, fanfic, poetry, etc. its really up to you

There have been a few good ideas on how I should give this away, but nothing solid yet.
I'll still need help on figuring out how to handle the giveaway, depending on how many people want to be in it.

I'm going to start making a list of people that want in, so I can get a figure on how many join.

So please, start "signing up" by just posting "add me!" or something.
I'll edit names from the PSU forums and here.
