Tear of Light can be found in boxes in many places. Innocent Girl, Grove of Fanatics, The Comeback, Temple of Traps. I've seen them drop from secluded areas of old Neudaiz and HIVEs.

When searching player shops, note that "Light" is a keyword for finding only light element weapons. Searching for "Tear" alone should work.

Most Tear of Lights are drops and not synthed. There was an update a long time ago which made food items drop made instead of as boards.
