I got my BBA today. After finding out my serial was bad, and I had to call Sega to get a new one(bye bye level 20 RAcast), I happily went online. I connected to a ship, tried to connect to a block, no go. On repeated tries I could get on to empty blocks, but that was it. This is what I've heard happening to other DSL/PPPoE users. Here's my setup:

Southwestern Bell DSL, uses PPPoE
Linksys 1 port cable/dsl router
Linksys 10mps 5 port hub

Browsing the web with Dream Passport 3.0 is fine, I'm just having trouble with PSO. Does anyone have a workaround for this? Is it just a matter of changing some of the router settings? It seems odd that PPPoE would be the problem, with the router in place, it should be just like a normal connection to the BBA.

Or does anyone know how to setup Win2k for a dialup server and do a direct modem connection? I've seen instructions for Linux, and Win 98/ME, but not Win2k.

At this point I'm considering wiping my internal memory once again and going back to my old serial code. If I can't play online, I may as well go back to my old char.

Thanks to anyone who can give me any help,
