FFVII, Gi Nattak. X-potion, dead boss.

Technically not a final boss, but still one of the easiest I can think of.

Though, in his defense, the game is pretty easy in general, and the main character being able to find equipment that allows you to maximize spell power in one turn and have a 100% crit rate isn't really fair for anything.

I don't know I tended to have a lot of trouble with him when I was 8 years old...

Ninja Gaiden Black actually has a pretty easy final boss compared to all the others in the game - especially when you're on Master Ninja and you have to kill Nicchae and Ishtaros at the same time during the lead-up.

I do agree with your pattern. It's very much the same with later Final Fantasy games. If you go after the Weapons (or whatever the game calls it's hidden bosses (hidden, ha. FF9 had a so not hidden Weapon boss) freakin' dragon. You can run into him with hardly exploring.), the regular final boss is so easy it's criminal.

Easiest bosses are interesting to note. I know in the old game Black Crypt, there were exactly 4 invincibility potions in the game, if you made it to the end with your 4 potions, you can take on the boss with all 4 of your party members immune to attacks. Game Over. Made the Beholder at the end of Eye of the Beholder seem like a master in comparison, even though that game also have a single object you can get to end that boss fight real quick.

With Haohmaru, Samurai Shodown 2 could contend for being the easiest SNK endboss ever. You can kill her with 3 quick moves in succession, taking that possessed priestess out in 5 seconds flat.

One could argue that Impossible Mission had the easiest boss given that the only thing you had to do was make it to the room with him in it. Aparently, your awesome presence in the room he's in is too much for him. "Noo.. Noo.. Nooooooo!"

    Fredric Chopin.
    Etenal Sonata.

Great pianist, good mage, but pretty lame boss.

I thought the lamest part of that fight was how it came out of nowhere.

Then again the entire ending of Eternal Sonata came out of nowhere.
