Or leave in running at all times like PSU has. That's an option too.

This is some great news. Ideally it'll be joint servers and such, and that a US version releases soon after the JP one but we'll see. Also I hope they announce it for PS3 (seeing as my PC is rather old and I can't afford to upgrade) with cross-platform servers, ala FFXIV. Otherwise I can't wait to see more of this game, especially gameplay vids and screens, if no PS3 version is announce I MAY just have to see about upgrading this PC of mine.

There's a chance they might show some footage of PSO2 at TGS, but I suspect they may just focus on showing off PSP2I and wait til Dec. to actually show off PSO2 with the 10th Anniversary announcement they had planned way back when. They may sprinkle some stuff on us inbetween then tho.

This should be real interesting. I wonder how they're going to approach this... I mean.. is it going to have a more PSU approach to it (as far as more fluid mechanics)? I can't imagine how they can ressurect a game like this without making it seem really archaic. Hopefully it turns out good!

So you'd rather have the stiff, antiquated, boring battle gameplay of PSO over the fluidity offered by photon arts and such?

    Yeah ok.

PSO is still amazingly fluid, especially for a game whose core code is 10 years old.

I recently started playing it again, first time in years.

The only things I find clunky is hitting edges (like walls, rocks, etc.) which bring your character to a complete stop. If they just made edges slow you AND allowed you to swing and shoot and cast techs on the move it wouldn't take much more than that to make it as fluid as any game today is. It's still amazing how smoothly, overall, PSO plays.

It's going to be so exciting to see PSO2 when it finally comes out. I'll be nervous! Will it recapture that original spirit from the DC and GC versions? I hope so!

I hope it doesn't have gameplay exactly like on PSO or PSZ, nor exactly like on PSPo2, but something new, improved from all the past games.

Please please please keep Mags and Section ID's!

These are 2 things I've missed, Mags were ok in PSZ, but PSO was better!

And I think Section ID's make for a great trading community.
