Names/Odd find

So I'm officially no longer satisfied with the name of my main character. I looked around for a way to change it using a save editor (Hex). Nothing came up when I did a search for my character's name in hex, but I found out an interesting tidbit. Have any of you read the game's manual? A character named Rudd is frequently in the screenshots, and the name "Rudd" also is found directly in the hex coding. No idea why. I just found it interesting. Anyways I'll probably take a break from PSPo2 for awhile unless someone finds a way to change a character's name.
I really just don't feel like starting over... lol
