Hey all, and welcome to the Done Right Productions thread! You may have seen us in other threads in Fan Works such as, "Movie: Phantasy Star Prime" and, "Fan Movie - Costume Contest," but here is where we will post updates on all our other film endeavors, be it large or small. You can look forward to many videos and company updates being posted here from here on out. If you're ever bored, swing by and check out the videos. We'll be updating them here several times a week!

For the sake of saving space in the thread, whenever we release a new video, rather than create a new post, we will be placing the new video in the first post, so if you're ever looking for video updates, be sure to check the first post of that video's category.

    Enjoy!

    Default ASK GIBBY

Ask Gibby - Our first official series on YouTube. The concept is simple. You send in questions, Gibby responds... very angrily. None of the dialogue in these videos is scripted by the way. Gibby's answers are purely improvised reaction.

WARNING: DUE TO INTENSE LANGUAGE, THIS SERIES IS NOT SAFE FOR WORK.

EPISODE 1 - Gibby reveals the scariest movie ever made, what he loves (and hates) about Super Smash Bros. Brawl, how to spot a Rick Roll, and how to keep your life on track during life's toughest trials.

EPISODE 2 - Gibby confesses his forbidden love for a female celebrity, expresses his affinity for fine dining, shares the details of his hobbies and pastimes, and shows an admirable display of self restraint when confronted with an ignorant, open-ended question.

EPISODE 3 - Gibby defends his literacy, exposes intimate details about Japanese culture, and educates the public on urban drug terminology.

EPISODE 4 - Gibby corrects misconceptions about the black male endowment, reveals his beverage preferences, displays his disgust at certain pornographic videos and fetishes, and finally discloses the meaning of life with the world. Aside from Episode 3, probably the worst episode we've ever made (or will make). That's right, I am openly apologizing for how bad this episode is. This was the last time we let such terrible questions through the filter.

EPISODE 5 - Gibby discusses his views on how modern rap music portrays the black man and his struggle.

EPISODE 6 - Gibby evaluates the statistics of two factions who have waged war for centuries, confesses exactly what it is that fuels his rage, expresses his distaste for Prince Albert, names his most and least favorite songs of all-time, and declares war on a famous internet celebrity for threatening the life of his beloved superstar. Things just got personal for Gibby.

ASK GIBBY CHRISTMAS MESSAGE - Ask Gibby Christmas episodes premiering Friday, December 3!

EPISODE 7 - Gibby discusses what he leaves for Santa Claus to eat on Christmas Eve, talks about a mother's questionable behavior towards Santa, addresses the sensitive topic of the lack of elven ethnic diversity, and reveals his most treasured holiday programming.

EPISODE 8 - Gibby takes a glimpse into the psyche of Santa Claus, spreads the cheer of Kwanzaa, explains how to preserve the mystery of gift-giving, and shares the name of his favorite Christmas Album.

EPISODE 9 - Gibby explains his views on Christmas caroling, reveals the true ethnicity of Santa Claus, expresses his yearning for a white Christmas, and laments the decline of the use of the phrase, "Merry Christmas."

EPISODE 10 - Gibby exposes the mistletoe game for what it really is, makes his disgust known when a viewer offers to send him a sarcastic Christmas gift, and responds to a female viewer who wants her holiday filled with chocolaty Christmas cheer.

MERRY CHRISTMAS, BITCHES! - Gibby wishes his bitches a Merry Christmas. Pass the Gibby Giblets!

ASK GIBBY: UNCUT - SEASON 1 - Gibby reveals another side of himself in this compilation of deleted scenes, bloopers, and outtakes as we look back at his shenanigans from 2010.

EPISODE 11 - Gibby shares his wisdom with the homeless, solves the enigma of why the chicken crossed the road, expresses his views on Shadow the Hedgehog, reveals the reasons behind the disgruntled behavior of the workers at your local DMV, and explains exactly what happened between him and the Ninja.

EPISODE 12 - Gibby corrects the public's misconceptions about vampires, reveals facts about wookies that George Lucas doesn't want you to know, crowns the winner of the video game mascot war that has raged on for twenty years, and announces the Gibby Theme Song Contest. The winner will have their Gibby song used as the new theme song for Ask Gibby!

EPISODE 13 - Gibby chooses his favorite between Dynasty Warriors and Samurai Warriors, expresses his dislike for modified classic cars, explains why Maury Povich is still on the air, settles a rivalry between two superheroes, and asks his viewers a question of his own!

EPISODE 14 - Gibby sees just how many questions he can answer in three minutes.

EPISODE 15 - Gibby shares the intimate encounters of his past, expresses his views on today's political situation, Admits that he sings in the shower, rants about his favorite superhero (again), and shares his ultimate fantasy.

EPISODE 16 - Gibby explains the importance of not putting too much value in the things you don't have, delves into the conundrum of invisible weaponry, revisits a topic long thought laid to rest since Episode 2, reveals the two most important survival tools ever, and discusses one of the deepest mysteries of the heart.

EPISODE 17 - Gibby discusses his choice of video game consoles, his views on scary movies and hate crimes, why the series doesn't have many views, and returns to the topic of Magic: the Gathering from Episode 2.

EPISODE 18 - Gibby is back to kick off Season 3! Gibby dispenses a bit of old school justice when he finds the thief who stole his camera, uses an example of a lost life to spread street smarts to celebrities, rages over the spoiled youth of America, explains the method behind his logic, reviews the latest installment of a popular video game, opens up the book on African Americans who are racist against themselves, and answers one of the most ignorant questions ever asked.

EPISODE 19 - Gibby addresses a pattern in a series of kidnappings that has been happening for over 20 years (and proposes a solution), expresses his opinion on the gimmick of 3D and how it is being forced upon the modern entertainment industry, describes the majestic lifestyle of his favorite animal, describes his favorite features on a woman, and solves a question that has been on people's minds ever since the release of the movie, "The Neverending Story"

ASK GIBBY: UNCUT - FALCORE, THE FUCKING LUCK DRAGON - Apparently one of our viewers got under Gibby's skin last episode. We must now hire a handler for Gibby to keep him from destroying the set! ಠ_ಠ

EPISODE 20 - Gibby clarifies his living situation, tells of his days as a Spectre, shares his thoughts on a particular female pop star, declares who would win in a duel to the death between two cereal mascots and answers one of the most difficult questions he's ever been asked.

EPISODE 21 - Gibby declares his allegiance in the Chicken Wars, answers the final wish of a fan on his death bed, reveals his favorite cartoon comedy series, discusses his favorite Pokemon, briefly revisits the topic of Star Wars and shares what he would do if he had a secret room in his house that nobody knew about.

EPISODE 22 - Gibby discusses the overrated power of literacy, reveals that he has magical powers, delves into the intricacies of racial diversity, unravels a cryptic riddle and displays gratitude when offered a tasty beverage by one of his fans.

EPISODE 23 - Gibby reveals his favorite action movie of all time, puts Japanese anime on blast, discusses his hatred toward gag gifts, works his way around a riddle of double meanings and expresses his feelings toward Dora the Explorer.

EPISODE 24 - Gibby reveals his preference of energy supplements, cleverly executes a complex game of rock-paper-scissors between female celebrities and his future, daclares his allegiance between the two factions of World of Warcraft, explains the logic behind his self-defense tactics, defends Betty White (again) and casts an early vote for the 2012 presidential election.

EPISODE 25 - Gibby establishes a link between partying and literacy, fights for the right of all people to wear skinny jeans, expresses his views on gay marriage and exposes a hidden conspiracy behind Mountain Dew.

EPISODE 26 - As he begins to feel the affects of the alcohol he consumed prior to filming, Gibby must once again clarify the species of talking animals in the film industry, cast his vote for for the war between two teen heartthrobs, incorrectly reassert his hatred for the Cali Swag District and crown the winner Silicon Wars. (DISCLAIMER: Season 4 of Ask Gibby was filmed before the passing of Apple CEO Steve Jobs.)

EPISODE 27 - Gibby takes time out from answering questions to share a drunken story from his past.

EPISODE 28 - "Gibby, Clay and Tanqueray" concluded.

EPISODE 29 - Gibby politely explains what it's like to receive a personal autograph from him, solves a conundrum that defies all logic, expresses his views on male groupies and gives you a physics lesson.

    Default TOM'S SPECIAL PLACE

Tom's Special Place - Our second series featuring the ever creepy Tom reading and reviewing children's books. We always felt there was something a little off about Tom, but that didn't stop us when he said he wanted his own series! His somewhat refined, yet creepy demeanor leads to a hilarious review of a childhood classic. Sadly, not many people found it funny once it hit YouTube, so the series was ultimately cut short and is now considered to be a single, self-sustaining clip. Strange, we were all losing it with laughter on set... I guess the camera takes away that certain something...

TOM'S SPECIAL PLACE - Tom reads and reviews, "There's A Wocket In My Pocket" by Dr, Seuss and rips apart the subliminal messages being fed to America's children hidden within its texts.

    Default MISCELLANEOUS WORKS

Here is where we put everything else that doesn't belong to a series of its own. You will generally find a slew of amusing shorts in this category.

EXTREME AIR BALL - Tom shows off his skills for any potential NBA scouts when his shot is suddenly blocked by Mike.

EXTREMELY DEDICATED SAMARITAN - From a mile away, a random Samaritan hears a whimper for help and is quick to respond to aid his fellow man.

EPIC ANTI-HERO - This was done for a contest that was being held by Sprint and judged by Michael Bay. We didn't win, but it was worth a shot anyway.

PLAYING WITH MY WII - When Mike drops by to chill with the guys, he gets pulled into a conversation of a questionable nature.

    Default COMPANY VIDEO BLOGS

Company Video Blogs - Here you will find personal video updates on the current events of the soon-to-be production company. While Phantasy Star Prime is currently our main focus (as much as possible for the time being anyway), we also have other feature films and projects in the works that we will be revealing to you through these video blogs, as well as the progress of each. You will usually see the Co-Owner of Done Right Productions, Dallas Landreth, doing these blogs, but I may jump in from time to time with my own.

Default PHANTASY STAR PRIME - PRODUCTION

Phantasy Star Prime - Here you can find our videos revolving around the production of Phantasy Star Prime. The project is currently undergoing rewrites in order to perfectly compliment the classic Genesis series, which the films are based around. Fortunately, not much will need to be changed in the script of the first Prime film, so this production footage is still valid. Bear in mind that the names and information in the credits mock-up videos are in serious need of updating, but the purpose of being a mock-up is still served. Anyway, if you're ever looking for more video updates for the Prime films, this category is the place to visit.

This first video was put together before Done Right Productions ever existed. It was just a pet project at the time and we didn't have nearly the support and resources that we do now. This is a video of the weapon style candidates for the films. If you are wondering why we were choosing PSU-style weapons for a Genesis-era PS series, I refer you to the link to the "Movie: Phantasy Star Prime" for that answer. Also, don't worry, this is not the style of music we will be using in these films. We know better than that.

This video was my first test with the rotoscoping technique used in the classic Star Wars films to create the lightsaber effects. I had originally planned to carry this technique over for Phantasy Star Prime, but by the time the films hit post-production, we may have access to better techniques. Bear in mind that this was my very first attempt with rotoscoping, so the models are a little shaky.

Again, this is a video of EARLY pre-production of Phantasy Star Prime. Here, I carried the rotoscoping technique over to an axe. This took twice as long because, instead of working with two masks (one for each lightsaber), I was working with four. That's right, it took four masks to create the photon blade on this axe. Altogether, this tiny little clip too around 6-8 hours to complete!

This video was my first attempt at the NanoTransformer effect for when a weapon is drawn. Again, for the reason why NanoTransformers exist at all in a Genesis-era world of Phantasy Star, I again refer you to the, "Movie: Phantasy Star Prime" thread. It's not a disaster move when it's put into proper context, I promise you. We know what we're doing. We're Phans too!

The first Foie animation test video. Again, this is all early pre-production dabbling. Some have said that this Foie doesn't look quite right, but I have compared the two and I really don't see what the big deal is, but then again, we now have a long time until post-production to tweak the design.

An early design for Megid. I know Megid doesn't have an arc trajectory (for some reason I was thinking of Diga when I made the model. Don't ask.) and I know that Megid penetrates and doesn't explode on impact. I was just testing a few hypotheticals. The design has been modified since this video.

Again, so much has changed since this mock-up was made. William Hartshorn is no longer the co-director, Done Right Productions is the new production name for the project, not CRUSH40ROCKS, Jacob Hartshorn's name is really Joseph Hartshorn (Embarrassing), Sarah Mangum dropped out due to life complications and was recast, and the musical piece, "Requiem of Darkness" never came to be (in fact, Andrew Spencer dropped out of the project completely), and instead, "Revolution to the Prime Origin" was created by PSO-World's very own Akaimizu, who has pretty much taken the reigns on the music for the film. Also, there is so much more credit to be given in light of all the new contacts and members of cast and crew since this video was made.

This is a video featuring a demo of the theme music to the final battle, "Revolution to the Prime Origin" composed by PSO-World's Akaimizu. Along with it are pictures of behind-the-scenes pre-production of Phantasy Star Prime.

We were really excited to receive this voicework! Kyle Hebert, renowned anime voice actor for such shows as Dragonball Z (Narrator, Adult Gohan, Pikkon, Ox King, West Kai), Naruto (Kiba Inuzuka, Inoichi, Mizore, Ebizo), and Bleach (Sosuke Aizen, Ganju Shiba) agreed to voice our CAST character for Phantasy Star Prime! He did really good work with the character and did an amazing job capturing the feeling (and sometimes lack thereof) of the character, Epsilon. This is teaser video of his voicework that I pieced together to rile any fans of his or Phantasy Star.

The first teaser trailer for the movie. I really love the music that Akaimizu created for the trailer and I look forward to hearing more like it in the actual movie.

    ACTIVITY UPDATE: 11/28/10

Darren Gibson, the star of, "Ask Gibby," has heard about our project, "Super Freakin' Theo!" and eagerly requested to be involved as an in-"game" character (either as a protagonist or as an end-of-level boss, we haven't decided yet). After requesting more detailed information about the project, he had this to say:

(I warn you, this quote is verbatim. If you have ever seen "Ask Gibby" then you know the relevance of this warning)

"That sounds amazing! I LOVED 'Scott Pilgrim vs The World' with all the little fuckin' video game gimmicks and sound effects and shit in it, and you say that 'Super Freakin' Theo!' is supposed to be even MORE like a video game? Sign me up, I want to be a part of this!"

If "Super Freakin' Theo!" had a comedy bar, I think it just filled up. Then again, Gibby's role (and therefore, longevity within the series) is yet to be determined.

Also, if you have been following the Phantasy Star Prime project and wondering why we have been so hard at work on smaller projects like this rather than the Prime films themselves, there are several reasons. First, if you have been following Prime, you already know that the backstory of the entire saga is undergoing massive rewrites in order to do justice to the classic Sega Genesis series. Fortunately though, the script for the first film doesn't need as much of a makeover. That particular chapter only needs a few minor adjustments. The thing about that is, we need to know all the exact details of where we're taking the story in the event that some may be influential on the modified first film. The second reason is because these small projects can be done with things we already have on hand, and require little to no money to produce. The budget to create Super Freakin' Theo! is projected to be slim due to the fact that we already have most of what we need on-hand.

In other news, All the Christmas Special episodes of "Ask Gibby" were filmed today, so if you didn't get to ask your Christmas question yet, unfortunately it will have to wait until next year. You can catch the Ask Gibby Christmas episodes every Friday starting December 3rd, with the final Christmas episode hitting the internet Christmas Eve and one last Christmas message to the viewers from Gibby on Christmas Day. The following Friday will feature a special New Year's Eve episode called, "Ask Gibby - Uncut," which will contain all the entertaining blooper reels and outtakes from the show's previous shooting sessions. You may be surprised to find that Gibby blows up just as much on set as he does in the actual show! Hilarity WILL ensue!

    YOUTUBE UPDATE: 12/1/10

In case you were wondering where this week's "Tom's Special Place" episode is, we are sadly going to have to skip it this week due to technical problems with the footage. We will try to have the Green Eggs and Ham episode next Wednesday.

In the meantime, feel free to check out the Ask Gibby Christmas Teaser, which was posted in it's place today.
