Phantasy Star Zero (Japan version)
if I buy it, can I play against Japanese/Asian players of this game on the Nintendo Jpn servers?
Or will it force me to use U.S. servers if I have the Jpn game.
btw, region coding (dvds) SUCKS and was a terrible idea that Sony came up with. I owned a U.S. SNES & super famicom to play their games.

All PSZ carts can play with all other PSZ carts from other regions. There is no "region-locking" of any kind in this game besides the JP-only code items not being available on nn-JP versions and not looking like they d in them when traded to a non-JP cart.

Not really, since anyone not on a JP cart could see the correct weapon you'd be wielding if you were wielding any of the JP-only items, so in all reality, everything's pretty much equal on all versions, really.

I play with a Japanese cartridge, and I am as far from "l33t" as one can get. It's basically the same as the NA and EU versions as far as I know.
Doesn't the JP version only have a few extra joke items? Mostly the drops should be pretty much the same. I got the JP version and even though my Japanese is pretty good, the cut scenes are horribly long and boring so taking it all in was a pain and trying to find stuff in the menu was a pain in the ass. Multiplayer is done with friend codes; there's no open server. Not to mention that you'd need to pay extra to import, so just go with the normal version.
