I need that skill, perma Focus Spirit attack speed Is something I wanted for a while now. I only just quickly gave YL and Tingle a spin last night. YL seems fun though he eyes rather slow, Tingle is just flat out annoying and boring and a waste of character slot...wtb skull kid ;;

I'll admit I was pretty goddamn pissed when I saw Skull Kid wasn't a character. Just giving that stupid Lana a Skull Kid outfit was like a "we know we could have, but fuck you" to the players, as well.

Ahhh good ol' Tiger. I seem to recall a vast majority of their stuff was a waste of plastic and circuit boards. Though to be fair, I think their handheld "ports" of popular games at the time were likely marketed toward those who probably couldn't afford a SNES/genesis or even a game boy. They did hit pay dirt with the furby in the late 90's though. That and the "TalkBoy" from the Home Alone movies.

Yeah, the old Tiger Electronic games were... decent stocking stuffers, y'know? Like, I remember playing a Ninja Turtles one a bunch when I was a kid while on road trips. The Game.Com was actually a handheld platform with cartridges and stuff. In theory it was supposed to compete with the Game Boy line and even had some big ports like Sonic Jam, Mortal Kombat Trilogy, and the aforementioned Resident Evil 2. It also had a touch screen in a case of "ahead of the curve" design. Heck, you could even connect to the internet with it, though it obviously doesn't work anymore and I don't actually recall the method you'd use to do so. I think you would plug it into your cell phone? I dunno.

It's a bizarre artifact of an earlier time and the fact that some well-known games were ported down to it (and effectively remade by scratch) makes it an interesting curiosity to me.

WOW! I completely forgot that even existed. Where did you manage to dig one of those up anyway?

I picked one up on eBay for more than it was worth but not enough that I couldn't convince myself it was worth it.

My curiosity for random 15-year-old handhelds also led me to pick up a Pokemon Mini that was definitely not worth what I paid even though I paid much less than what they usually sell for.
